Daman Albarn band Gorillaz have lashed out at PETE DOHERTY - branding him a "mess" and slatting his performance al Live8.

The BLUR singer says he's planning a "Make Doherty History" campaign - spoofing the Make Poverty History cause championed by Live 8.
Damon said he was "appalled" at Pete's wayward performance at the Wembley gig. The singer was speaking in the guise of characters in his cartoon band GORILLAZ, who have just scored a huge hit with second album Demon Days...........

Damonn said speaking as bass player Russell Hobbs & guitarist Murdoc "The concert was all about raising awareness but Peter looked like he was having trouble raising his own awareness. He looked wasted.

"With Africa, were talking about a nation battling through immense poverty and hardship, and he can't quite get it together to sing a song. When you look at what they're faced with it kind of makes his drama and what he's faced with seem trivial.
"On that day he just seemed like an odd sort of image"
"None of that really matters. What does matter is that BABYSHAMBLES have only ever released one song. One song!
"People talk about this new talent, but there's nothing to him. So yeah, it's strange that an African nation that's struggling to survive is being given aid by someone who's struggling to keep his hat on.
"He's a mess. I'm starting a campaign to Make Doherty History.
"And I could probably get him to sign it too, for half a bag of pink whizz. He's well over-rated.

Even cartoon characters know that Pete Docherty is a waste of talent & that Elton John had to save his arse at Live 8
