ya but dont u get it U.S helped them but they are no where near the status of America, Thailand needs help themselves but other countries dont really give a fuck about U.S cause right now they're the champions and all the other countries want to be at America's position as a powerhouse to and being the champ brings you a lot of negative attention like jealousy adn shit which leads to other countries wanting to see you fall through the ranks... On the other hand, I don't think it's a hard effort for Bill Gates to donate a couple 1000's to some kids in Africa.

On one hand, these people knew the storm was coming, why didn't they leave?  on the other hand, maybe they can't afford to just up and leave. 

The Canadian Red Cross is sending a couple hundred people down.  AND Hugo Chavez has even offered help.
