Dr. Dre has produced two remixes of the Truth Hurts debut single "Addictive" featuring Rakim, which climbed to Number Eight this week on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
While Rakim delivers a rap verse on the original version of the song, produced by DJ Quik, the new Dr. Dre remixes include additional verses from Rakim. The remixes are expected to be serviced to radio soon.
Truth Hurts performed the song publicly for the first time at BET's recent Spring Bling festival. Truth Hurts' debut album, Truthfully Speaking, is scheduled to be released on June 25 on Dr. Dre's Aftermath Records.
The St. Louis-bred singer has provided background vocals for Busta Rhymes and D12. In 2000, she performed the intro for Dr. Dre's "Let Me Ride" while on the Up In Smoke tour.
