they are wearing the same glasses. that's the only guy i can think of (or, who immediately sprung to mind) at the moment.
i seriously doubt that it is Sullivan though. rash guy becomes powerful 'Other'? thats pushing it a little. .
plus, surely Jack would have recognised him? you know, having treat his rash at one point during Season One.

no i agree, it's 100% definitely not Sullivan.
The Watcher:
so my two theories;
previous island protectors/keepers are replaced by new island people;
smokey replaced by locke
jacob replaced by jack
japanese dude replaced by ben
richard replaced by .. sawyer?
sayid becomes a bodyguard for jacob
i also think the alt-timeline is going to have events happen that happened on the island and shit will eventually play out the same way. sun not knowing english, locke being able to walk again, etc.

just watched it a 2nd time and i picked up on something.
When "the others" let off that signal into the sky (presumably to tell people that Jacob is dead), Sun, Ben, Ilana (etc.) saw it - so I guess everyone on the island is now on the same "time"
dunno how i missed that the first time lol

you shouldve picked that up when kate mentioned being back at the hatch site that was detonated "oh they built it?!" etc
everyone is back in 2007 now on the island
alt-timeline is 2004
