I do agree. But look, Lakers might not be the perfect team. I see him as a 6th man in a team with a great defensive guard/small forward player who lacks on offence. A static team who doesnt have a Spree in his roster. A team like San Antonio, who sometimes have black outs in offence. A team like Detroit. One of those two teams should be perfect. Your San Antonio Spurs before they signed Finley, for example, was just perfect. Having Spree starting from the bench and replacing Bowen when you need an offensive guy is something who can make the difference. Something i think Finley will do. But coming off the bench when Kobe and Odom are your SG and SF.. i dont know. They both will play like 40 mins a game, there's no space for Spree. Only way he can contribuite is by playing PG, but i dont see him as a 6th man playing PG. He needs to be aggressive and to shoot at almost every possession. That's Spree at his best. Not a PG.

id stick with Finley anyways....Spree is instant offense, but at the same time...a little bit out of control. Popovich will sit down anyone, no matter how big of a star when they do somethin stupid. Spree isnt disciplined enough to deal with that.

C'mon man, McKie will fit well in the triangle, probably. But he's far from being the defender we need. He's a solid defender, i'll give you that, but there's no way he can defend one on one on Parker, Iverson, Telfair, Bibby, Billups, etc.. He's a veteran, he has great basketball IQ, but his legs are still old. Watson was fresh, and capable of stopping everybody in defence. I mean everybody. Best defensive PG in the league imo. I was dreaming about Lakers signing them both: lle for McKie and mle for Watson. I'm disappointed.

You're disappointed? LOL...Aaron Mckie was the perfect fit, he's a veteran with good judgement and basketball knowledge who can defend REALLY well and has some offensive game as well. That's who Phil wanted, he wanted a Ron Harper/Brian Shaw like guard. If you think he can't guard players like Iverson 1 on 1, that's fine, we have Kobe for that. Not to mention, a whole lot of other young talented players playing point guard for us. We got Smush Parker who's a really young talented and explosive up and coming point guard...He's gunna be something soon. Von Wafer, I've only heard GREAT things about him. I heard he runs the court like Byron Scott and is the 2nd most athletic player on the Lakers behind Kobe. I can't wait to see what the hypes about...Sasha Vuvajic is said to have gained around 20 pounds and has really improved and gotten into shape. He's said to be a Drazen Petrovic type player, and if you know your basketball history, he was the Jordan of Europe...I don't know much about Will Conroy, but again, I've only heard good things about him, and I'm sure the Lakers had a reason in picking him up...Then we got Kobe, who also likes to run point at times...Lamar Odom came into the league a point guard...I honestly don't think the backcourt is where we need improvement, at all...PeACe
