Hell naw the Wolves don't want him back. Plus I'm sure he knows he'd have a better chance of winning a championship with LA, so him coming back here for less money and no gaurantee for a ring isn't gonna happen.

if he's concerned with getting to a championship...he would avoid LA. Not that Minnesota is going to give him a ring either, but be real. Spree doesnt have a TON of years left...and the Lakers are in a transition stage really. If Spree wants to win, he needs to win NOW. So it would make more sense for him to go to a team thats already in a position to win either this year...or next.

Spree was never been a role player, never been a bench player. He's a 4 times All-Star who averaged 18.3 ppg in his career and 19.7 in 62 Playoff games. It's not easy for a winning team to sign him for 5 millions and to put him in the bench. It's not a sure thing he can contribuite from the bench with the right attitude, you know. He's more like a starter in a good team. That's why Lakers is his top choice. But it looks like Phil doesnt even want him to start (McKie/Kobe), so.. now it's really hard for him. If he really wants 5 millions he should accept the offer from a wack team where he'll have a lot of playing time and fun.

his attitude coming off the bench would be the only question. Honestly, i see Spree bein the perfect 6th man. you want your 6th man to be the guy who brings instant energy to the court, which he can. 6th men arent always the most consistent players (spree), but they have the ability to immediately impact the game if the starters are lookin sluggish. Also, with a player like Spree who CAN be inconsistent..makin him a 6th man gives you that flexibility to either leave him in at the end of the game...or sit him down, depending on how hot he is. If he were a starter, and you sit him down in the 4th quarter...you might have problems. the 6th man can seriously be a more important role on a team then some starters. Look at Manu for San Antonio. He's good as a starter, but when you have him comin off the bench as a 6th man he can really disrupt the other team.

I do agree. But look, Lakers might not be the perfect team. I see him as a 6th man in a team with a great defensive guard/small forward player who lacks on offence. A static team who doesnt have a Spree in his roster. A team like San Antonio, who sometimes have black outs in offence. A team like Detroit. One of those two teams should be perfect. Your San Antonio Spurs before they signed Finley, for example, was just perfect. Having Spree starting from the bench and replacing Bowen when you need an offensive guy is something who can make the difference. Something i think Finley will do. But coming off the bench when Kobe and Odom are your SG and SF.. i dont know. They both will play like 40 mins a game, there's no space for Spree. Only way he can contribuite is by playing PG, but i dont see him as a 6th man playing PG. He needs to be aggressive and to shoot at almost every possession. That's Spree at his best. Not a PG.
