Global Warming: The Culprit?
Sikotic™:
Well what about back in the late 1800's (1899 I believe because I've been studying this shit) where temperatures were about the same as they are today. What caused that? It was a climate shift. It is way too early to make it concrete evidence that the global warming theory is the reason for the climate getting warmer. That's why there's no general concensus in the scientific community.
Honestly, I think we over estimate our influence on the earth.

We're nothing more but another animal on the food chain. We just happen to be smart enough to be at the top of it. Animals have been making other animals extinct forever, we're the only ones who care about it and try to stop it. Mass Deforestation? In America they're required to plant 2 trees for every 1 they cut down. Natural Disasters aren't increasing in frequency, you're just young and weren't here when the other ones came through. Increasing in intensity? Hell no. Weather patterns becoming more abnormal to what? That's just not true, look at recorded history, the weather has always been crazy.
Believe me, before we ever destroy the earth, it'll destroy us.
Like I showed above, how do you explain global cooling? It's just BULLSHIT people tell you to scare you at night, so maybe you'll watch the news next night to make sure it's alright to leave the house.
Javier:
that newsweek article wasnt even done thanks to help of any enviromentalist. The time period that the article used as an example for global cooling was like a time period of less than 30 years, lol. But waht did happen in the 70s was that many scientists belived that humans can change the climate

Scientists follow the religion of science. I don't follow that religion.

Bullshit.
Natural Disasters are increasing in intensity.
--- Quote ---Over the past 35 years, the number of hurricanes each season has remained constant, but their average intensity has increased, with the number of Category 4 and 5 storms--the most powerful--nearly doubling. Given the swelling populations along the coasts, the danger from monster hurricanes like Rita and Katrina has risen dramatically

The "Humans isn't powerful enough to affect the earth" theory is gullible. :D
