I agree with you too Overseer and this person's opinion has a stronger argument because he has had the chance to play aroudn with both systems, but remember this is only opinion
I'm going to get a xbox360, i'm looking forward to Project Gotham Racing 3, Fifa 2006, and Perfect Dark Zero

You never know with the ps3 though it, its not fully done, plus neither system is out so we know what to expect, but not everything

according to developers though, its said that the ps3 and xbox360 should hold a similar line of graphics and gameplay.....
One thing I was reading in EGM is that all of the videos we have seen about ps3...well none of them are actual gameplay footage....just what they "want" their games to look like, so we haven't seen true ps3 footage

I mean right now, system wise the xbox is better than the ps2....I know a lot of people would disagree...saying the ps2 has more games..more library blah blah....right..but the majority of those suck....
and the games that are on all 3 current systems, well its always better on the xbox...graphics, gameplay, control
and the current xbox controller >> ps2 controller....I'll agree when people hated the OG controller...it was huge and meant for only shaq...but right now its better and looks pretty good for the 360

I think though that the Nintendo Revolution has the most creativity behind their project, especially with that unique controller, I cant wait to see how thats going to be used and in what games

as for the xbox 360 vs ps3.....bigger numbers dont always mean everything
its the way those numbers are implemented...
ps3 could turn better, could not, we dont know
but i'm going to get a xbox 360

Some of the xbox 360 graphics aren't THAT impressive but then again, as games are moving closer to reality, the jump isn't meant to be that big anyway....the only thing thats gonna kill me is the $400 price tag for the system that comes with everything...plus a game...plus tax...plus a warranty..damn best buy sux lol

i'm not going to either yet.. only when i'm fully aware of the media capabilties.. i dont play games on my xbox.. i never would have bought one but i got given it for christmas by my lil sister.. i only run XBMC on mine..

Trauma-san:
The mistake these people make when they talk about the power of these systems (I'm talking about the average gamer) is that they assume that developers use the full extent of a machine's raw power.  This RARELY happens.

The past time around, the X-Box was clearly the most powerful of the three systems, but frequently games manufactured by Nintendo looked better than similar games on the X-Box.  The X-Box developers rarely used anything close to the full power of the system, I don't really know why. Could have been it was cost prohibitive, could have been it was time consuming, maybe it was easier to make the games slightly less powerful, whatever.

With actual developers saying that the X-Box 360 will be better suited to develop for than the PS3, I think that holds a TON of significance.

Also, since you know I'm a Nintendo fanboy, I think it's also relevant to note that Nintendo's 3rd party support has famously suffered for years, and is a large reason for their fall from grace.  This time around, Nintendo has went way out of their way to stress that they want to make the revolution very, very developer friendly.

I honestly see PS3 has having the most to lose this time around.  I think the X-Box 360 will be the clear winner of the three consoles, and I think Nintendo will gain ground on Sony.  I also think that Sony's pricing structure is going to be way out of line; and if it's reduced to something comparable with the 360, I think Sony's gonna lose their ass and eat up a large portion of their profits with the losses they'll consume with the sale of each system.

Low Key:
I'm still buying a PS3.
