What is your opinion on this? And how do you feel it should be done if it is possible?

From a Muslim perspective, in general, one state/territory/province that is predominately Muslim should not secede from the larger country that is predominately Muslim; because the unity of Muslims should be encouraged and preserved.  

This is especially true in the case of where Muslims have a Caliphate (Muslim ruler, Muslim state) in place.   (Muslims haven't officially had a world recognized state since the Ottoman Empire was defeated in World War 1 by the British)
