« on: November 08, 2005, 07:40:24 PM »
Give it up to them

They are by far the most political that the West Coast had, and just doesn't get their proper shine.

Well 2niteI giveit to them

i havenīt heard anything from The Coup. not that i know of atleast but Kam is the shit. definently one of my favorite rappers of all time and unlike most of these so called "greats" Kam spits shit thatīs actually worth listening to. if you wanna listen to something thatīll make you stop and think about some serious things for a while then Kam is definently something for you. my favorite Kam songs would prolly be Keep The Peace and I Donīt Think So(one of the best joints released in years IMO).

kam is off the hook no question.  i'm wondering what's happening with his "self" album.

i'd recommend picking up the coup's second album "genocide & juice".  it bumps from beginning to end, it still sounds good today, and i think it's a classic album.  the way the tell a little story with the first three songs, fat cat's bigger fish, pimps, taking these, is just brilliant.  although for some reason "taking these" was the first single.  why would you release the third song in a trylogy as the first single???

Certainly in my top three tracks of this year. Kam spits real, Made In America's just a great album from start to finish.

Kam's 1st album is cool. Sounds like Death Certificate production. Kam's 2nd album "Made in America" is a classic IMO. Kamnesia was a dissapointment. Can't wait to hear him with PE. The Coup is cool cuz they mix humor with their politics so it's not too preachy. The only album I've heard is "Steal This Album." It's pretty good.

Kams a legend, no doubt. His first two albums were bomb, specially Made In America. A great lyricist, he spits true shit all day everyday and should be recognized way more than he is now. His skills are obvious on Dj Pooh's Bad News Travelz Fast, a westcoast classic.

Kam's one of my favorite lyricsts as well...the way he flows on tracks + his lyrical content definitely makes him stand out; not just as a West Coast MC but as a rapper in general.
His album "The Self" is in my top 5 of "most anticipated CD's"...I just hope it'll drop somewhere early 2006.
