Im about to have a fuckin heart attack! If we blow a 20 point lead...

Nowitzki just dropped back to back 3s (well Fisher did manage to miss a lay-up in between).

My poor TV.... It took a few shoe-shots thanks to Phil leaving out the starters for that big comeback by the Mavs. But.... we won and that's the bottom-line.

Found this interesting (and very disturbing) stat on lg regarding Derek Fisher and his layups (and I thought Kwame's layup stats couldn't look any worse)...

Quote
Inside 82 games shooting stats (among players that qualify):

Fisher only scores 1.5 points per game via layup which is WORST in the league.

Fisher only makes 42.5% of his layup attempts, he misses 57.5% of his layups which is 2ND WORST in the league.

Fisher is blocked 19% of the time when he goes for a layup which is 8TH WORST in the league.

Fisher only gets fouled 7% of the time when he goes for a layup which is tied for 7TH WORST in the league.

wow, i knew he sucked at driving but i didn't know he was THAT bad.

i love fish, hes one of my favorite lakers, but without a big man drawing attention away from the perimeter, fish is gonna be a liability on the offensive end. hes not getting enough room to shoot nowadays and even forces it like a chucker at times just to produce decent numbers. dont expect his numbers to increase during this road trip.

once we get gasol or bynum back, shit should be back to normal

^Fisher will step it up come playoffs time...he usually does. He doesn't need to penetrate, he just needs to play within the triangle...PeACe

^ i'll imagine he'll step it up even BEFORE the play-offs, since gasol will be back in 2 weeks (projected at least). the fish we're seeing now isn't him in his comfort zone

Fish is definitely in a mini-slump...but he always steps in and out of these with the quickness. Fish is solid and he knows what he's doin. I expect him to pick it back up in no time.

Fish has always been nothing more than a shooter , a below average playmaker and a good PG when it comes to running the triangle ... Fish was in the zone the 1st part of the season but now he's struggling a lot .. Halu is 100% right , Fish efficiency comes from big men being double teamed but without it he forced shots , try to penetrate and draw a foul (that's why the stats GBooby showed are so horrible .. Fish doesn't try to make a layup , he try to draw a contact and throw the ball in the air ..)
