I still remember arguments on here during the offseason claiming that LeBron had such an amazing supporting cast, and that they wouldnt be THAT bad without him. Maybe even close to .500! Not to turn this into a Lebron/ Kobe thing...but Id be willing to bet the Lakers wouldnt be THIS bad without Kobe. As horrible as the Pacific is...they might even win it without him lol.

You do know how injury prone the team is this year and that several crucial player besides Lebron left the team. So that argument is pretty much no longer valid.

Obviously Kobe had the better supporting cast, but you can't forget that they're playing without Illgauskas and West who were two of the more important players on the team with LeBron.

They also acquired Sessions and well Gibson is like a new addition for them as well as he has a major role now and was a piece of benchwarming shit back then.. Hickson is pretty good too with more minutes now... Varejao injury is hurting, of course... then again they also have a much better coach now than during the LeBron era

Cool...so take Kobe AND Artest off the team, and they still wont be as bad as this team is right now lol. I just remember ALL this praise towards Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison during the offseason and last year from Kobe supporters who felt LeBron had SO much help.
Not to mention, with Delonte beatin up LeBrons mama....I'm sure he would have wanted to stay in Cleveland if LeBron stays! :D

Kobe had a really good game. But you gotta give Ellis credit too man. He wasnt even gonna play leading up to the game due to illness. Pretty good performance. I like seeing two players duel it out like that. Go back and watch Larry Bird vs Dominique Wilkins in the 88 playoffs, Game 7, Eastern Conference Semifinals. One of the greatest matchups ever (IMO)
