james haarden deserved it, he talks so much shit. and ron does not like the dude, in that away game when harden was jawing at kobe, ron ron and harden was having a shoving match (which obviously artest won)
lol there was no reason for harden to up to artest, in a sense he basically provoked it, he wanted to give hima gentle bump to make a fake "tough" guy statement, he should of known better.

the league is way too soft. sometimes i wish the NBA drops in its tv ratings/views so they can get the game alot more physical.

If you want to be a tough guy, there are many other players to get tough with than Artest. Artest is a nut that would rush all of Detroit. Harden tried going at Kobe and Artest is like a pit bull, he'll protect Kobe. Artest is loyal to a fault, which is bad for the league. I know why Kobe wants him around. The presents of Artest keeps many people from trying to hard foul any Laker, especially Kobe. With Artest around, it makes people think twice. I still remember that Rockets/Lakers series in which the Rockets with Artest were trying to muscle the Lakers. It took Fisher delivering a hard foul to put the series in check. Now Artest is a Laker, and he puts that physical play in check. You can call Artest an idiot, but his doing exactly what Kobe wants. After all, we all know Kobe actually runs this team.
