In retrospect, the trade that sent Chris Paul to the Clippers when the Lakers trade was rejected might have been one of the worst moves Stern ever made in his career. Let's pretend he was a GM, and he turned down Lamar Odom, Luis Scola, Kevin Martin and a draft pick,and instead got Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and a draft pick. If I was an owner, I would have fired him. The Lakers/Rockets deal was WAY better than the Clippers deal. I have no idea why Stern tried to kill off his cornerstone franchises on the way out. It just makes no sense.
