As far as Nolan for England, apart from the goal and the post hit, I didn't really see what else he did in the game apart from hooking aimless balls into the corners which Diouf and Giannakopolis were too lazy to run after, and making a few tackles. I don't get the feeling he totally comfortable with the ball at his feet, and at international level that is vital. Admittably though, he definitely deserves to be in the squad if Hargreaves is constantly in it, cause Hargreaves really is truly useless.yeah what ive been saying since euro 2004, his useless! what does he actually bring to the team??

Oh man, Bolton was as lucky as it's possible to get.1. Defoe through 1 on 1, onside, but offside wrongly called, would have been a 100% chance.2. Defoe through again, scores, but wrongly disallowed for offside.3. Jenas crazy shot is stopped by Gardner, Mido hits the bar on the rebound.4. Stalteri failed cross somehow ends up hitting the upper bar.It was a pain to watch. I don't think Nolan is good enough for England, with players like Lampard, Gerrard, Carrick, Jenas, Joe Cole, King, all competing for 2 places in the center, dunno why Smith is in the national team, though he was good against Chelsea, and Wright-Phillips is hardly being used @ Chelsea..LOL @ Young & Konchesky, England needs a right-back.. and even Heskey would be a better choice than Crouch.
Uh...the offside goal was so close it was a simple linesman snapshot, thats footballand carrick and jenas are overrated, nolan is worth a chance, im not saying he is better than the other players but i beleive he provides another option...sven needs a solid squad throughout for the WC and testing a few other combinations before wont hurt.

Jenas might not be ready for England yet, but imo Carrick is the best defensive midfielder in England today..You won't notice it unless you're paying attention to him, he isn't flashy but he's doing the dirty work, always breaking up the opponents attacks, his passes have pinpoint accuracy and great tackles, and he's still improving, players like that are priceless to the team..As for Nolan, I didn't really notice him, Gardner, Davies & Diouf was the livewires I noticed, Nolan seems to be the type of player that can be quiet the whole game, then pop up out of nowhere to bag a goal or two..
Neil Lennon = Tottenham reject.Several managers considered buying him, but the chairman turned his thumb down..
