I really don't know for sure. I use to think LP was short for album, because vinyl records, or albums are called LP for short. And EP, I don't know what it means, but usually an EP is a sample album, or an ablum with like 3 to 6 tracks. They are no long enought to be whole albums, but they are not singles because they are more than a couple of songs. Like Creepin' On The Come Up, Bone Thugs N' Harmony was an EP because it was like 5 songs and it was a small sample of what Bone could do. Other certified EP's, 100 Miles and Runnin' - N.W.A., It's On (Dr. Dre)=187killum - Eazy E, How Do You Want It EP - 2Pac.LP is the whole damn album, so basically like any whole CD. The whole 9 plue songs, with skit, meant for the general public to buy, not sample the artist.
Posted by: Gabe Posted on: Today at 17:52:02 An EP is anything between a single and 10 tracks. Thus it is "extended play" as compared to a single. An LP is anything over 10 tracks. Thus it is "long play" as compared to singles & EPs.
Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers EP both have over 10 songs...
