i read sumwhere that daz wrote the majority of that song , can any1 confirm this

Dr. Dre wrote lyrics for the following albums: Eazier Said Than Dunn, Straight Outta Compton, Efil4Zaggin, Musical Madness (Jimmy Z.) Michel'le's first album, The Chronic, and maybe a few others.  Thats just off the top of my head.  However, Dre does make adjustments and tweaks to lyrics when supplied by another writer.

When you see Andre Young in the writing credits it does not necessarily mean he contributed to the lyrics.  This publishing credit is most likely for compositional and arranging duties (the music).
