Back in 1997 DJ Muggs of Cypress Hill released a compilation entitled "The Soul Assassins Ch. 1." It pushed over 400,000 copies and featured Dr. Dre, B-Real, KRS-One, Rza, Gza, Goodie Mob, MC Eiht and others. Three years later, he dropped "The Soul Assassins Ch. 2" which featured Xzibit, Kurupt, King Tee, Dilated Peoples, Mobb Deep, Ras Kass, Self Scientific, Kool G Rap, Krondon and many others.

August 29th, 2006, Muggs is going to complete the triology with "The Soul Assassins Ch. 3." Now, you're probably wondering, what's going to be happening from now until then? Well the Soul Assassins family will be releasing four Mixtapes in anticipation of Chapter 3. The first Mixtape is "Take Aim: Assassination Day Is Coming."

The Mixtape will feature DJ Khalil remixes of "We All Die Some Day" by Eminem, 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Obie Trice and "Destruction Of A Guard" by Muggs, Gza and Ras Kass. Expect some Exclusives from Cypress Hill, Mobb Deep, Rakim, Alchemist, Evidence of Dilated Peoples, Mitchy Slick, even Dr. Dre and Eminem. You already know Chace Infinite and DJ Khalil aka Self Scientific are gonna be on the Mixtape, along with Kombo, Phil Da Agony, Sen Dog, B-Real and Snoop Dogg.
