I hope all of you had a good time over the holidays, and hope your new year will roll around smoothly. Believe me when I say that the new year over here is gonna take off on another level, you are n-o-t ready for this!

But for the old year I'd like to send out one last gift to you all, cause I don't really feel like stopping at all! As you might know, Westcoast2k got those infamous year-end gifts to wrap up the year, and we're not gonna treat 2005 any different! Again we got something very special for all of you that been supporting us and hitting up the site throughout these 6 years.

So let's get down to business! Westcoast2k reached out to the Dogg Pound Gangstas Daz and Kurupt for a very special feature. For the first time in their career, Dillinger and Young Gotti take their time out to rate and review all their group albums as well as solo albums, exclusively for Westcoast2k.

Tha Dogg Pound is hailed as one of the most influental and successful groups in Hip Hop period, and with such a strong fanbase it's only right that the duo looks back to the past, takes a glance at the present day, and catches a glimpse of the future. They both share their honest opinion, positive and negative, about the outcome of their albums, the mindstate they were in while recording, and how they rate their work today.

it would have been more interesting if daz had rated kurupt's solo albums and kurupt had rated daz's solo albums.  then they turn around and rate snoop's solo albums and bad azz's and the eastsidaz.  and roscoe's.

oh yeah.  hook them up to a polygraph and get some true ratings out of them.  that's the key.

I liked kurupt's reviews the best. It seemed really honest. He gave kuruption a 3.5, but rounded to a 4 cuz of 'we can freak it' which is cool. He gave 'Streetz iz a mutha' a 5, space boogie a 4, and he didnt even rate against the grain. Dogg Food got a 5, D&Y a 5, and D&YII a 4. The only rating I didnt agree wit was the one for D&Y, I never really liked that album. I definitely like D&YII...it is good chillin out music. Kurupt got me kind of hyped for 'Same shit, different day' the way he was talkin about his album...his emceeing/rhyming on 'Streetz iz a mutha' ...I gonna just wait tho for the album to drop cuz it been like four years since kurupt dropped a decent verse except for recently.

Daz had a little too much 4.5's and 5's for me. The only five I agreed wit was dogg food.

Yeh Kurupt's rating was pretty much accurate. D&Y was a classic to them cause like they said, that was the first album after all this time.

agreed wit all Kurupt sayin, and got me lookin forward to his new solo in March. Obviously im not expectin it to even come near Tha Streetz but he sayin itz some OG daz produkshun, think he compared it to his R.A.W. shit so hopefully itz gon be somethin sick.

i agreed with most of it, kurupt especially, but daz i though would rate rr&gb higher, its maybe cause he still has issues with death row, daz also accurate with RAW its such a good vibe on that album
