Question for any Quebecers
Lincoln:
I'm addressing a funeral on Monday for someone who was Irish and French, specifically whose family came from Quebec. Are there any good sayings or phrases that would be appropriate? Thanks in advance.
big mat:
well i dont know the dude you might say something about him that reflects what everone liked about him. post some shit and i'll translate so you can say it in french at the funeral
Lincoln:
I'm looking more for like a saying that would be associated with French culture, you know what I mean? For example, the Irish saying is:
May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind always be at your back, may the rain fall soft upon your fields and the sun shine warm upon your face, and, until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand.
I know Quebecers have a strong sense of heritage, so I figured they would have a nice saying like that.
big mat:
i don't know, i'll ask my grandx father
Lincoln:

--- End quote ---
Thanks man, very appreciated.
