« on: March 23, 2002, 03:44:28 PM »

How come people hate on this album ?

Is there even a   weak track on it  ?      I  dont think there is   ,  I can listen to all the songs.

I dont even know  which track is my    favorite   ,     theres  about  5 or 6  that  are   BANGERS !!

"Relax Ya Mind"      is my shit   tho     ;)

I've been saying that for ages. Take A Look Over Your Shoulder is Warren G's most consistant album. Everyother album he has ever put out have at least one track I dislike, but Take A Look I'm able to listen to from start to finish.

The only problem to me was there were very few tracks that blew my mind. It's stil my favorite G Child album tho.

Me too... a good album, though not some of Warren's best work.

I think  Warren G     said it himself  that   the album was  a  flop  .     A  sophomore jinx  .

But  I just figured out  why  the album  didnt  sell  that good or     got much attention    is because  it  came out  on the same day   as  ............    *drum roll*     ..............    Biggie  "Life After Death"

too bad for   WG      ,  wrong  muthafuckin time to drop an album     :-/

I think dropping "I shot the sherriff" as a single was a bad idea, people were expecting another "Regulate", so I guess they just didn't buy it.

Personally I picked that shit up the day it came out.  The version we have in Canada has a different cover, and isn't enhanced tho. :'(

Warren's albums all get major play in my stereo.  I think he loses a little somethin' every time out, but every one of his albums, especially the first 3 were straight heat.  And "Take A Look Over Your Shoulder" should have been multi-platinum, that album was some of the best shit to drop in 97.

I love that Album from beginning to end.
Transformers is tight.

And I also like the line from Jayo Felony on Young Fun
"I rather die with my eyes open, so I can see how these
mothafuckas wanna do me, they set me free"
love that Line!

Take a Look Over Your Shoulder is by far Warren G's worst album, and is the only one I dont love. I think that the songs are way too commercial and pop sounding, and that he abandoned the whole gangsta, G funk sound. The only songs that I think were any good are "What We Go Through", which is amazing, and "Annie Mae". I think the rest of it is forgetable.
