Title: Ja Rules Future in Rap
Post by: KURUPTION-81 on April 14, 2007, 07:29:39 AM
If you wereJa Rule would you bother making a comeback ? Im sue he has enough money to to live comfortably for the rest of his life.

If he were to make a comeback i cant see him ever been successful to the levels he was. I also dont see how he can market himself, if he comes back with the thug image like on VVV people wont believe that is him and if he returns to singing/rapping he wont be accepted by hip hop fans and the i believe the pop fans have moved on from that.

Ja could relax and keep away from hip hop but i beleive he will have a desire to prove himself but i cant see it been a success.

What do you think ?

Just before his last album everybody was sayin' the same shit, then came 'New York, New York' and if that wasn't a hit on the radio and the streets than shittttt.

I think he should just come out raw and maybe he can do this again.

Who gives a fuck what the fans think, they aint pleased with anything anyways plus they're unloyal. Let him do him, if it sells cool, if not fuck it, hes got money.

do you not think ja wants to return to where he was before 50 smashed him ?

I mean on a personal level if he flopped again that would have to hurt his ego.

if he wants to be successful again he needs to go back to that singing shit. He started releasing some bullshit hardcore stuff but no one beleived it. 50 diss him for sing on records then the first chance 50 got he started singing aswell and selling records. thats why i dont respect 50, i remember he saying that ja rule will e over cos he sings on hooks, now look at 50, all he does is fucking sing, what a bitch nigggaaa!!! feel me????

Well put especially about the fans being unloyal. Personally I'd like to see The Inc make a comeback like it was 2002 all over again (not just Ja).

Ja is basically finished as a solo artist other than making guest spots and he probably does not have the money some of you think he has...Even though he wrote most of his stuff, he had just started to write for artists outside of rap music before he made the mistake of taking on 50 and Aftermath.....Even though 50  gets credit for ruining Ja's career, the big mistake Ja made was challenging Dre, Em and the entire Shady/Aftermath crew...I still cannot believe it when he said that he would bring down the entire Aftermath lablel for signing 50. If you check the history, most people who fuck with Dre somehow seem to disappear.....I guess that is another post. ;)

If he makes songs like Ludacris "runaway love" that are conscience but meant to sound radio friendly he'll do fine. You can't hate on a cat tackling real topic from the real world, make the people relate to what you're saying and the results will snowball,

chill

i gave up on Ja just before his last album id bought all his previous ones, saw him in concert ages ok. It was ok but it was a show catered to his pop fans i think the only track he played from VVV was holla.

ja rule sucked when he was making that poppy shit...but he was making money...and he could do that same exact style now and make a ton of loot...the poppy rap style will never tire out of the mainstream...as long as theres 14 year old girls out there and 12 year old kids from the suburbs posting on message boards thinking that ja rules a thug and they wanna be just like him...he will always have a career

but alas...unless he comes out with some serious shit that showcases his talent (which he does have...he just doesn't use)....i continue to have no respect for him

YOU MUST BE STUPID , I POST IN THE SPORTS SECTION AND THE LAKER FANS DISS ME ALL THA TIME

Getting a bit emotional after all then, aren't you? I'm really sorry I made you touch your caps lock button.
I'll respond to your post like I would to a reasonable and civilized person, no matter how much I'm wasting my time with you. You deserve the chance to fully prove you're an idiot, so here we go.

WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT KARMA WHAT ARE YOU LIKE 15?? WANT RESPECT ON THE INTERNET LOL

It may not be the exact karma value you care about, but surely you've come on an online message board to interact with other people, haven't you? Now you tell me, why would one want to interact with others, if the interaction wasn't based on respect?

WHAT ARE U TALKING ABOUT LOW STANDARDS, FACT IS JA RULE KNOWS HOW TO WRITE GREAT SONGS

Great songs? That's subjectual, meaning it'll NEVER be a fact. Let alone what Ja knows - how are you going to turn that into a fact? The closest thing you could come to proving a point here, would be by showing me proof of a positive general consensus about Ja's music, or some professionally written reviews of his albums. The general consensus seems to be a bit against you though, so I'll wish you a good time proving the "truth" behind your statement.

HES GOT GOOD RHYME SCHEMES , HOOKS, AND HIS CHARISMA ARE ABOVE AVERAGE

For once, you have yet to point me out it's "rhyme schemes, hooks and charisma" that define an artist who makes "great songs". Plus, I wonder if you're aware of the fact that you just stated the use of "good average rhyme schemes". Re-read that phrase and maybe you'll see what's so contradictory about that.

So much for your fallacious formulating skills, but of course one must mind, you're ghetto after all. And that's cool. At least, you supposedly are.

But strictly based on what you're trying to say here... How in the hell does Ja being a better rhymer and hook writer, and a more charismatic person, result in him being a "sick" rapper? As if, like you said, a sick rapper is any rapper better than D4L, Young Dro or "that shoulder lean guy"? I must admit, of those I've only heard D4L and it was horrible, but are those the standards you apply to define a "sick rapper"?

Come come now. Ja Rule never was a good rapper, but his music did entertain loads of people at a certain point in his career. Face the conclusions, instead of hiding behind the fact that we're all 50 Cent groupies in your eyes.

The days of double and triple platinum are over for him but it is for alot of rapper these days. I think he is a good songwriter and with the right collabos and singles he could still make a impact.
