Dre - Detox
Murs - Murrays Revenge
-
That Roots album looks like it might be sick. Actually all the albums look pretty good but im not sure about Ludacris's album. That looks practically the same as that wack DTP compilation that just came out.
-
im surprised they didnt include Detox on there...i guess they weren't sure if it'll be released in 06 or not
i think another album a good chunk of ppl mite be anticipatin is DMX's album to see if he can deliver nemore or not...i wudnt consider it a top 10 anticipated album but i styll feel that a good amount of ppl wanna hear it.
-
games album the most anticipated ::)
-
Busta's album is definitely the one on there I'm most excited about. And if Mobb Deep's album actually DOES get put out (has it even been confirmed yet by the label?), I'll cop that shit, too.
-
lol who works at XXL & The Source???Amatuers???Where the fuck is Rae & Saigon???& how the fuck is someone gonna put T.I. over Ghostface???& they also put Game's album over a Nas album wit only Premier beats, wow, how fuckin' ignorant can you get???Whatever, Game's a cocky motherfucker for thinking his first album is classic, go do some fuckin' research you stupid ass bitch.
-
^^ The Saigon album was on last years list. Thats probably why they didn't put it on this one.
-
Yeah, Saigon's album is LONG overdue. Not that I'm particularly excited about it (I listen to Immortal Technique to get on my political tip), but it's supposed to come out this March.
-
The list is so wack!!!
-
im hyped bout THE GAME, BUSTA, LUDA, NAS
CAMRON shit is always ok,

wheres Detox
cant beleive they didnt put it on when its XXL
well most of the websites, magazines didn't put it coz I think they tired to put it on the list since 2002. Plus you know nothing is sure it'll come out this year. Anyway this list is BS : No Saigon, Raekwon... Game ? it's a joke there will be no album from Game in 06 :grumpy:
-
I want busta, nas, game, ghost & mobbs if it any good, got sum serious coppin to do 8)
-
Lmao at this list.Putting Game at number one??Ha,ha.And another lol at Game saying Doc is a classic.
Im anticipating Nas and Busta the most.
Btw did anyone see the features on Games ablum?
-
If everything that we've been promised comes out this year, it's going to be the resurrection of Hip-Hop in 2006. Of course that's not very likely, but still, there's some seriously hype stuff going on that XXL isn't even catching up on.
My list would be something like
1. Nas - NASDAQ Jones
2. Dr. Dre - Detox
3. Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II
4. Common - ??
5. The Roots - Game theory
6. Saigon - The greatest story never told
7. Ghostface - Fishscale
8. Busta Rhymes - The Big Bang
9. OutKast - Idlewild
10. Mos Def - ??
I'm "afraid" the Nas album will be something with even less mass appeal than Street's Disciple. I loved that whole album though, so I really can't wait to hear his new album.
-
If there's one thing you can say about Mobb Deep it's that we're consistent," says Havoc.
???
this is totally opposit of the truth, well it might be true in a way coz lately they´ve consistently dropped wack shit so i guess you could call them consistant.
-
games album the most anticipated ::)
ano its unbelievable
i would hav thought snoops the blue carpet treatment might hav been on it
-
i would hav thought snoops the blue carpet treatment might hav been on it
Even XXL readers aren't waiting for "R&G part 2" to drop, believe me.

Whats up with Mariah on Games lp? that diva bitch is wack. Mary J n Lauryn Hill are natural singers but adding mrs know it all Mariah and having 3 rnb singers on his shit well thats a bit like what game said 'you went from GRODT to the candy shop'.
Hope Mariah aint on that lp that track with westside conection still baffles me.
-
Mariah Carey >> any other female singer guest appearance rappers get nowadays
-

To be honest it's a westcoast classic..I was really tired of westcoast rap but Game's album brought it back by making the best westcoast album since 2001
-
Dope post, thanx
-
Whatever, Game's a cocky motherfucker for thinking his first album is classic, go do some fuckin' research you stupid ass bitch.
??? damn dude chill! lol what did game ever do to u? of course he's gonna say something like that...its their "SALES PITCH"...guess you weren't paying attention when you were reading the article...shit wasn't a classic but it was a solid 4 mic album IMO...
-

mariah's voice is amazing, but lately she's become another just-add-water-n-stir type singer. im feelin alicia keys and keyshia cole a lot more than her shiet.
-
^ i cant stand mariah either...bitch is fucking annoying...
-
Yo LaZ1e, who's that in your avatar! :D
-
nas is doing a track with cormega I heard..
-
im anticipating the Nas & Premo joint, The Big Bang and Fishscale the most...although i'll probably check out everything on the list...
-
^ i cant stand mariah either...bitch is fucking annoying...
Yeah for real, she's always doing that HIGH high pitched voice on her tracks.
If I was to pick a female singer to appear on a track, I'd go for Mary J or Alicia Keys. Maybe Brandy. That Keisha Cole chick's been getting a lot of attention lately, but I haven't heard anything from her so I don't know about her.
The list is wack though, but then again, what can you expect from a half-assed hip-hop glitter mag like XXL? Me, I'm anticipating new albums from:
(not in specific order)
The Game
Snoop (redeem yourself on this one, man! None of that R&G shit this time.)
Dr. Dre (IF that happens this year...)
Nas
Ice Cube
Redman (hell yeah, 'bout damn time)
Busta Rhymes
Outkast
DMX (can he still do it? I'm thinking yes, as long as he hasn't been on the pipe while in the studio)
-
they didnt include detox because they said it was number 4 most anticipated album in 2004!!! i think they may have put it on last years list too!
-
nice to see game on the list......but mobb and game over bustas album???.....
i think im more hyped about big bang than anything at the moment......dre spent so long making this it has to be dope when it comes out or people will just clown them, they brought the pressure on themselves by taking so long, nuttin to do with the dre/busta combo or the title, big bang, but the amount of time they spent on it.....
i hope game drops a follow up to doc this year to, but no wack shit, wait till its fully right and dre done a big part on it
-

NUMBER 4 ? WTF ???
-
I really hope the Big Bang actually drops. The stuff Dre & Busta did on the Genesis album was amazing, except for the track Break Yo Neck which was just average.
-

i thot Game dissed Mariah by callin her forehead big and sayin he wudnt screw her even if she had Ashanti w/ her or sumthin like that
