if you're familiar wit suge's history you know why it didn't last long. also quik was signed to suge's funky enough records (before death row) and it didn't work. then eazy tried to sign quik for a million but quik was already signed to profile records.

How did suge take too much credit?he never said hey this album happened because of me or this track was hot because of me.but he had an ear for music like no other.he was one of the reasons albums on deathrow were classic.with the mentality of whatever album comes next gets the hot beats and the best material whatever is best for our next project.so instead of artists saving songs for themselves they all got put into whatever project was next to make the best possible album.

I have to say that album is a classic and I don't think suge gets enough credit for how many classics he's been behind the scenes in.
Suge gets plenty of credit for the work he's done but it wasn't like he was in there writing/producing the records. He got shit done as a businessman. You can't argue with his track record. However, it didn't hurt being backed by Interscope and having an artist roster that included Dr. Dre, Snoop, Tupac, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, and DJ Quik to name a few. Nobody is denying Suge of his rightful due in creating Death Row but he's also responsible for creating an environment where the majority of his most talented artists did not feel comfortable going to work. I think in the end, that ended up costing him and his company in the long run.

What is so hard about this shit? Quik is a blood hes always been from Tree top.. hes always repped it in his older songs.. Even on his first album he was sporting Red everywhere.. there was no Suge then.. thats just how he does it.. to me he's never topped this album either... and Suge prolly jacked his money from this album..

This to me is Quiks rawest album. You can hear the Suge and Death Row influence all over. Just compare it to his other albums.
Safe and Sound is a certified CLASSIC !!!! ;D
