In an era of green screens it's always good to see shit filmed on location. Obviously money was spent on this and it shows.
WC's cameo was a highlight.

-
I've just askin, what are U talkin about?!
the fact the video has a big budget has NOTHING to do with why I said this could be the best album this year
-
Excellent quality video and cool concept. Gabe Hart did great with this and it really enhances the feel of the song.
-

i wouldn't say it's usual, when he's worked with Lil Jon + made songs such as I got my locs on

ehh...I think by staying true he means Cube staying true to his style, which is gangsta rap. And that's true, he always keeps it gangsta on records. Haven't heard an Ice Cube love song to this day unless it was something I missed. But as far as beats, the west coast sound has never been something Cube has stuck to. His first few albums were made with the Bomb Squad remember?
-

-
I dont understand why some of you guys are suprised that Cube has made a fucking banger. You guys must be forgetting who the fuck Ice Cube is. This fool gave birth to the type of music this ENTIRE website is based on. Have some faith in the man.....He knows how to put together a good album.

yeah, but he was also saying he didn't rap for the pop charts & dissed the radio stations.
don't tell me he wasn't aiming for a certain commercial success at all, with the last two albums

hasn't he done that with all his albums though? Why would he put out a record that doesn't have a chance to sell? I think Cube has made a career of making songs that have a chance to be popular, but at the same time don't go against the gangsta image he has represented his whole career.
-
^yeah,no doubt. and it's no bad, it's good!--------------------------------------------------

IM GLAD I FUCCS WITH CUZZO!!
Youtube for y'all..not the best quality but better than nothing....
http://www.youtube.com/v/Ar35rQzaYeQ&hl=de_DE&fs=1&
-
I think when people say southern music that Cube does they mean more quality then anything else. Like when Cube works with southern artists like Scarface, Willie D, NO Joe, Mr Mike, etc, that equals near classic material. Jigg and say Lil Jon not so much lol.
-
I dunno Bomb Squads production on AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted was co-produced mostly with Sir Jinx and Ice Cube so it had that West Coast flavor.. definitely didn't sound like an actual Public Enemy record.. i think "amerikkas most wanted", "turn off the radio" and "endangered species" were the only east coast sounding tracks..
plus the actual distinctiveness between east and west coast sounds werent as big as they are now..
-

No doubt. I was just pointing out that Cube having some southern beats on his last couple albums isn't selling out at all, they just weren't good records.
-
He uses a littletbit of sotuhterntype, but less than other artist, don't U think?
-
YA'LL SOME FOOLS I SWEAR , CUBE BEEN ON SOUTHERN PRODUCTION SINCE BEFORE WESTSIDE CONNECTION .
AS A MATTER OF FACT THE FIRST WSC ALBUM HAD SUAVE PRODUCTION ON THERE BY T-MIX AND ARGUABLY WAS THE BEST BEAT ON
THERE . I SEE THIS SITE IS BIAS CUZ THIS VIDEO IS CORNY AS SHIT WITH RHINESTONE CHUCKS AND SOMBREROS .
IWAS WAITING FOR THE THREE MUSKETEERS TO JUMP OUT . ALSO REN GOT ATIGHT VID WITH BALL AND MJG ON SOUTHSIDE SHIT .
what beat did T-Mix do on Bow Down? always thought it was Bud'da, Cube and Comrads that produced that album
-

Definitely and any of the southern artists he worked with early in his career it was not a problem. I think some people would rather just label it as going the southern route rather than ehh I don't like this track.

I love Lil Jon but he shouldn't be on a Cube record.

dope video. that is my first time hearing the song, and I"m not blown away. Cube rips it, but I have mixed feelings on the chorus and the beat is nothing special.

Lil Jon - Bitches Aint Shit Feat Nate Snoop and Suga Free

-
not bad but connected for life is str8 instant classic
the production
the flows
the lyrics
the hook
its one of the best songs in the last decade....mack 10 hasnt been relevant since...lol

mack 10 hasnt been relevant since...
And what about "like this"??
-
like this was cool but had nothin on connected for life....connected for life was a instant classic....mannie really outdid himself and IMO wscg werent ready for that single...they chose a dope westcoast single produced by a southcoast producer and pushed the album wit that....otherwise I dont think hate in your eyes helped the album as much as connected for life
wc's the streets>>>>>>>like this
mack 10 hasnt been relevant since...
And what about "like this"??
-
otherwise I dont think hate in your eyes helped the album as much as connected for life
+1!
You are right, connected for life is one of the best WSCG tracks ever, and the highlights of that album, in my oppinion too!
-
yeah and the muzik hes made since then has been all downhill....but if he would rather sell 1,200 copies....go head....lol

but if he would rather sell 1,200 copies....go head....lol
same as WC... :'(
-
wc a different case....wc's last album was cool could have been better
but lyrically wc>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>mack 10
wc can still spit
wc should sell more but difference between wc and mack...mack promotes his albums more even tho they are wack
wc dont promote his albums enough...but still
right now wc can kill mack 10...on the mic
but if he would rather sell 1,200 copies....go head....lol
same as WC... :'(
-
I don't want to choose wich one of them better, I like both of 'em.
I just says about WC's sells...
That is not too much too...
-
1000$ bet that if glasses or mack made this record yall woulda shitted on them still.another 1000$ bet that if mack or glasses had those same chucks on yall woulda called them all kinda of fags and fake gangstas lmao
-
its obvious your defendin mack/g malone....why you got so much hate for cube tho?
cuz his muzik is better than yours?
cuz he gets more support than your brother?
i mean the hate is there.....but why? lol

it has always been like that for WC
