My son wasn't going to sleep and he was crying in bed... So I went in to check on him and ask him what was wrong. He said he was crying because he was going to die (someday).
So I played him the new Snoop Lion video, "Tired of the Running" and explained how Snoop almost died and how Nipsey Hustle tried to get him in trouble in the video, but that now Snoop is happy he doesn't have to worry about getting shot or going to prison anymore like when he was younger. 8)

not bad.. but I would more so remind him about how hip-hop is about developing your own identity and your own style. That sometimes artists had to break off from the crew to get their shine. That Ice Cube had to leave his homies in NWA and head all the way to the East Coast and go his solo shine.
