I'm thinking of creating a a DubCC league, similar to the basketball league we have.
if there's enough people interested, I'll create one.
so anybody who wants to take part, just post a message; and then we can get something going depending on how many people want to take part.

Not really. If you know what you're doing in the draft, those are hardly necessary. in all of my years of playing fantasy baseball, i've only made about 3 trades, mainly because i dont need to make any. Free agent pick ups i can agree on to a certain extent. They only do so much.

I agree, I would lose interest if I missed the draft too.
Also, I didn't even think about it but this draft is pretty damn early. I like having it a little closer to the start of the season. I can make it Thursday if it's best for everyone else but a week before the season would be great and maybe we could get a couple of more teams in there.

depends; if ppl know about sleepers and not who are at the draft, it usually hurts your chances of winning the league.
also if you dont pre-rank your players, you may get stuck with players who're gone for a while.
usually you still have a legitimate shot though even if a couple of auto draft picks dont go well; after all in most cases your going to make some roster adjustment anyways.

I always draft well, which leads to not having to make as many trades (barring injuries). Plus, to me, half the fun of fantasy sports is the draft itself. When my team is autodrafted, it just doesnt seem like I had any hand in putting it together, so I dont care if I win or lose, you know what I mean?
By the way, what time is the draft on thursday? (eastern time) I might be able to make it if its after 7:30 eastern.

although kemp and loney should both have breakout years, and jones...as long as he hits over 25 HR ill be happy, furcal should have a good year, seeing as how he was tearing the ball up in the winter leauges..
but my pitching staff is niiiiicee...an avg WHIP of 1.10..the highest i have is gagne, with 1.35 WHIP.

depending on how much faith you have in salty, there are a couple free agents you could drop varitek for that would probably help you out.

Yea I know, I make a few drops and pick up before the seasons starts. I really like my rotation though minus D-Train.
