LOL ::)
This is another reason why I refuse to put $$ in bootleggers pockets. I'm better off just waiting for either (a) a bootleg leak, (b) WIDEawake to release the OFFICIAL version which will also be REMASTERED so that Crooked I can see some profit from it.
That's just me though.
-
Some how I knew this would happen...
BTW... How long until DRF or LSN weighs in... ?
-
i want that song with the Armory Gang to leak lol
-
Funny how it's a different tracklist than before... They been holding out on us.
-
They are scared because of Wide Awake.
sure they are..i was thinking about this when i saw the other thread and somebody said that if wideawake puts out projects it will put an end to bootlegging DR stuff..they're recognizing that wideawake is not joking in putting out the unreleased music, so they try to make a quick buck off the music they have before it gets released officially
-
This is probably going to be the last time they can pull this off, WIDEAwake doesn't seem to be playing if word reaches them it's a wrap.
-
They are scared because of Wide Awake.
ofcourse, they are, lol. those bootlegging geeks realise now that they dont have their monopoly anymore on the releasing of the album, so they quickly want to make a quick buck out of the album if they can before wide awake releases it.

The ultimate advantage that WIDEawake has in this situation is having John Payne (former Death Row staff producer) remastering the original recordings.

Yeah, I think that will be the biggest advantage to the WIDEAwake release, sound quality. Not only that, but if they are in talks with Crooked and other artists then they have a better insight into which songs were truly going to be used on the album.
-
BTW...
Can't front, I still want that OG "So Damn Hood"...
If you think about it, even if SHTTBG did drop, we wouldn't have got the Hutch version anyway, so if WIDEAwake puts out the album, I doubt we'll get it then. We'd probably get the Vegas version since that was the latest one.
-
so WIDEawake is going to release deathrow's eastwood album aswell?
-
you feelin the sampler?
and do you know if the slap back song is real?

To be perfectly honest I haven't bumped the sampler yet, I bumped the original LSN one and the original FTP one, haven't gotten around to this yet.
As far as "The Slap Back" goes, I think it's real, but I am starting to have doubts as to whether it's the 8 Mile Road freestyle or not...
-
thats waz up
do you know if the other version that was got for "1300.00" is different than this?
-

Yeah the 1300 has a slightly different tracklist...
-
I won't front, I still want the album, but...the more tracklist I hear the more I lose interest. This album sounds like a really good DEMO.
FTP and LSN and DRF are probably all working together. I knew those fags were holding out. I actually remember reading about that "Frontline" track a while back. Funny how "Slapp'd Back" disappeared.

We need a complete tracklisting... The best from all the projects.
-
unless a mastering cd has been made, there is no final tracklist for this project..
the posted tracklists of bootleg projects are as close as we'll get i suppose

True... I'm just saying it'd be nice to have all of it and make a "Best of Say Hi To The Bad Guy" project.

a box set of all the tracks done, released by wideawake, would be the sh*t tho, instead of just havin a "best of"...the people asking for unreleased stuff will never disappear.

the only thing i can imagine making this song better is a totally different beat and a different chorus...the sound q of the single sounds like bullshit, even a remastered version by john payne could not make it better

Sisqo's vocals sound like they were recorded through a cell phone.

I'm just exaggerating alittle bit :P what i'm trying to express is that the sound quality even on the promo cd single doesn't sound very good. i still wonder to this day what they did to the recording before it was pressed up.

Fuck this. As much as I want this, I paid for this once and those fuckers refunded my money and gave me no songs, so fuck 'em. I ain't ordering again. And yeah, it is funny that suddenly they now have more tracks than they had the last time they advertised this album....fuckers. That's okay. Everyone go get "Hood Star" from Wideawake on April 18.

No doubt. It was stupid of me to order, considering they still owe me $30.00 for that second OFTB project. I'll admit I was a bit of a sucker for falling for their shit again, but unheard Crooked I tracks for $10.99 suckered me in. Plus the fact that, at the time, it didn't look like the Los Skanless project was going to work out either. Oh well...fuck these fly-by-night fuckin' bootleg operations.
-
They might as well just sell it for whatever they can get for it, because if they back out now they've pretty much lost the chance at getting money off it in the future. No one would be willing to drop cash in the future if they pull out now, especially if WIDEAwake drops music later this year.
-

Yeah, that's what they should do. But you know what they're going to do. They're going to take pre-orders for two weeks. Then they're going to send everyone's money back (maybe) and cancel the project due to hating.
-
LSN or DRF should just one up them and drop Hoodstar, right now! ;D
(Or the entire CD, It don't hurt to ask again...)

It wouldn't surprise me if someone leaks that "Hoodstar," track. They already leaked that Petey Pablo track.
-
I just read on the dynasty board that FTP said they want 100 pre-orders of these or their going to cancel it again. lol...same bullshit. Just like I figured. 20 bucks too plus 5 dollars shipping for domestic orders. So apparently it's not a download link this time. What the fuck ever.

MAKE THAT $$$ B4 WIDEAWAKE RELEASES IT !!!!!!

I bet they could have got 100 orders if they had just kept their word and stood by the first Crooked I project they announced. $10.99 for a download link really wouldn't have been too bad of a deal. But of course, they had to flake and ruin everything. Actually though, regardless of how many orders they get, if they cancel this, they're stupid. This may be the last chance they have to capitalize on this material. With Wideawake actually starting to release music, they may start being more diligent about what music they allow (or don't allow) to be bootlegged.

Exactly.
I mean if they pull the plug too and try to release it say 6 months down the line after hearing WIDEAwake is dropping their own version no one will take them serious anyway.
It's now or never for these guys.

lol so who's buying??

I've never seen anything like this before, LOL.
This is like the weed man saying, "You can all cop some dub sacks, but I need 100 pre-orders first."
Na, make us much money back as you can so you can at least re-up, LOL.

Yeah. Well, before they had the luxury of farting around with their releases. But now time's running out on the whole operation. So, if they pull the plug on it this time (for lack of pre-oders, or massive hating or whatever reason), they're basically shooting themselves in the foot. I personally refuse to participate at all with this farce. But if I were them, I would be focused on trying to get whatever money I could out of this project, and then get while the gettin's good. Fuck a pre-order. They ought to be taking orders.

On another note, didn't we already conclude that "Dollaz In My Hand" is an Untouchable track?

I don't think there's a "real" version of "Say Hi To The Bad Guy". No track list was ever released and other than "So Damn Hood", there weren't any tracks that were released specifically for that project. I think the closest we got to a release date was the Billboard. I think the only info released on the album was that it'd feature appearances from Jadakiss, Nas, Ja Rule, Scarface, Treach, Danny Boy, Eastwood, Kurupt among others.
-
No they're doing that so they can hold on to the certain songs in hopes that it will never leak (ie: Slapp'd Back).
-

I wondered about that too. Yeah, they have a couple tracks that weren't on Los Skanless's project ( "Boss Me Up," and "Frontline"). But I noticed "Slap Back" was missing from theirs. That track "Fuck 'Em" feat. Big Hutch isn't on their's either.
-
No one should buy this bootleg and just wait for WideAwake to release their version so Crooked gets paid and not some asshole bootleggers

Well, we know that "Hoodstar" was going to be a single from interviews conducted back in the day... Also old press releases stated that there were songs titled "Anotha Day In The LBC" and "I Shoulda Made You My Wife" which do not appear to be on either of these releases. Maybe one of those turned into "Thug And His Wife"... Who knows?
