JAY-Z EASILY !!!!!
-
Illmatic easily. Reasonable doubt was highly overrated.

agreed. Illmatic is on a completely different level
-
I think that anyone that says Reasonable Doubt is just trying to be different. It's a great album but c'mon.
-
Illmatic is a street classic.
-
lol
-
i'm not trying to be different, i genuinly like Reasonable doubt better, better rhymes, better flow and better beats.
-
not discussing who is better Jay-Z or Nas.....or who won the battle between them
purely choosing which of these albums is better...it's got to be Illmatic
reasonable doubt would make it into some ppl's top 10 or 15
but Illmatic would make it into 90% of true hip-hop fans top 5 albums of all time

fuck that.

illmatic, peace.

illmatic is a classic..
reasonable doubt has a few sell-out style tracks.. a'la biggies debut.. seemed to have copied the formula
p.s.
i cant stand fuckin jay-z anyways. i can really honestly say i've never felt him on anything..
-
WTF Anyone who says reasonable doubt is trying to be different??? I guess everyone who picks Illmatic is just trying to sound cultured. Reasonable Doubt for sure. Nas has got rhymes that appeal the thinker, but the entire Reasonable Doubt cd paints a damn good portrait of what high life hustlin is. Not to say that Jay lived out everything in his rhymes but the shit was on a whole cinematic, and tapped more emotions and mental images than Illmatic.

To you, maybe, but not for me. I personally like Illmatic a whooooole lot better than Reasonable Doubt. Not saying Reasonable Doubt is bad, because I still like that album even though I generally don't feel Jigga that much. Illmatic touches me a whole lot more than Reasonable Doubt.
