I just picked it up today...I have not heard any of the tracks prior till today. Everybody was knocking it, but I thought I'd give it a chance...
I'm disappointed. Em's production is alright, but these tracks definitely sound old. At least with the Death Row releases we were getting 1996 material. This is pre-Death Row, during 92-93 for a lot of it. I wouldn't necessarily blast Eminem for the production though...you can tell by Pac's STYLE that it is old. At ;east other posthumous releases don't sound dated. Now if Em was to produce tracks from Better Days or other unreleased DEATH ROW material, I think it would be more fair to judge Eminem's beats.

i didn't manage to listen to it all the way through.. not even once. :(

That good huh?
I havn't even considered picking this up and I don't think I'm likely to.
Eminem's beats are just so monotonous. They really bore the shit out of me. He wants to concentrate on his writing and let someone else do the producing so we don't get another joke of an album. That is if anybody else even wants another albumfrom him.

as with most releases these days

This album is sick in my opinion. Em's production is way better than what he did on Encore. Check these tracks out...
Black Cotton
Out On Bail
Hennessey w/ Obie Trice
...and the best jam of them all...DJ Quik produced...Loyal To The Game. There's two versions on the cd, make sure you cop the one with Big Syke. Ridiculous beat.
Then after you listen to these songs, tell me you won't listen to the album again. 8)

You're right about DJ Quik's remix of Loyal to the Game.... :o Tight beat. Easily the best song on the CD.
-
DJ Quiks one beat destroys anything Em produced on the album.
-
It was better than I thought it would be. Eminem stepped up his prduction on this one. It's definitly not the best Post-Death 2Pac album. But, it's not a bad album either.
-
I just don't listen to single songs, I listen to whole albums, and this one is just definately not bumpable to me. Like Overseer said, Em's monotonous beats just ruin the album, which hasn't got any potential on becoming a classic (which it should have, being a Pac album). That Hennessy track with Obie Trice is pretty cool though 8)

i liked the Scott Storch and Quik tracks, the Raphael Saadiq one was pretty good too. Basically the remixes, the rest was trash
-
...because of Eminems weak production?
-
whatcha expect if the album is produced by a busta?
u can not compare a post-mortem album from one made when he was alive so...

lol and that was even one of quik's less efforts
-
Honestly, I like "Don't you trust me" with Dido. I think the beat and chorus fit well.

I can honestly say that cause the beat for Out On Bail is hard as hell! That drum beat is crazy and that whistle is sick! Hennessey's just a straight up party jam! Just my 2 cents though.
-
I also heard Em stayed up 3 days straight producing the album...you know he was feelin it...too much to get up outta the studio for 72 hours!
-
the beat was cool but pacs lyrics were probably the worst i've ever heard
and the beat to hennesy made me cringe
-
I didnt think the new album was very good tobe honest....the beats wer`nt exactly the best like. I think they should jus leave 2pac to R.I.P because these new albums are makin a mockery of his music an his talent which was the finest rapper there ever was an ever will be in my opinion.
Also does anyone know anythin abar a new 2pac album called "Ready To Die" scheduled for relsease at the end of January.
-
The album sux except for the dj quik song.

The more i hear from Obie the more impressed i am.

I thought that was the best Eminem produced track on there

do i really have to explain that's north-west english (manchester, liverpool, whatsoever) slang for "about"?
keep ur english slangs away from an american board anyway.
-
Black cotton and hennesey are fucking horrible. make tupac say GGGGGunit and shit thats just gay.
-
The content of the album is dope......I love Death Row era Pac as much as the next man, but too many people sleep on vintage 92' political Pac. He was sick back then too.
The production of the album is HORRID. Easily the worst on a Pac album yet. Em has no business producing an entire Tupac album.
