nope, it's sim locked to at&t, and since i live in australia.. (which doesn't have at&t.. )
even then, my work pays for my blackberry so i probably won't get one when they come out here

We had a bunch of nerdy fools waiting outside of my store the night before. But since, in my district, they wanted stores in AT&T High Speed DSL area's to carry it first, we didn't get shipped any. But, we still put in 39 orders for the phone... Shits pretty cool. I've played with our demo phone a lot. I want to cop one, but I'm gonna wait til they make our Company lines eligible for use with it. Apple Stores got a ridiculous amount... 1000 each store. Thats more than the entire L.A. Market got for all of its AT&T stores... Horrible.

Yeah, it doesn't take a genius to sell a $200.00 dollar phone for $600.00, only stupid people to actually buy it.

The Motorola Q = $330
Treo = $500
8GB iPod nano = $250
iPhone = $600 - 8GB, wifi, 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) liquid crystal display (320×480 px at 160 ppi) HVGA touch screen... hands down the best screen & software on a phone/media player... just go check it out for yourself... there's no denying the screen fucking tops anything out, 2MP camera, 8 hours of talk time.
iPhone consolidates three devices. I no longer have to carry my cell phone, camera, and iPod everywhere I go... I can just take my iPhone. I admit, the 2 MP camera is not great and I will likely still take my Canon with me everywhere, but at least I'm now only carrying two very slim devices when before I was carrying three.
Given the price of "similar" devices (I say "similar" in quotes because there really isn't a device out there that really compares to the iPhone) and the iPhone's functionality & features, $500 for 4GB and $600 for 8GB is reasonable.
