gona chek it out, sorry 4 the wait was fire 8)

:-X
-
I think "Carter III" > "Carter IV". A lot of female-oritented songs. A lot of soft ass flows.
The "Interlude" with Tech N9ne & Andre 3000 is incredible lol.
I can fuck with it though.
-
Listen to "It's Good".
"Talkin' bout Baby money?
I got your baby money.
Kidnap your bitch, get that "how much you love your lady?" money.
I know you fake, nigga.
Press you breaks, nigga."
Shots at Jay-Z for his "Baby money" reference on "H.A.M". Damn. Bring me beef.
-
The only tracks I'm really feeling are the Interlude with Tech, President Carter and the Outro (although Shyne sounds wack as fuck) after a first skim through (Also note that Wayne isn't in 2 of the songs ;D). Can't see me listening to this album many more times.

Imma bump the album and review now
-
this is incredibly weak compared to carter 3
-
If he made an entire album with songs like "President Carter", he could make a great album; for him anyway.
-
If he made an entire album with songs like "President Carter", he could make a great album; for him anyway.
Word. He doesn't sound annoying on that track. Just raps in a normal voice.

Word, he can make some dope introspective cuts. I'm laid in right now so gonna download and give this a listen. Crazy how many no name producers he got, suprised David Banner didn't do any beats on there also. Not expecting much but Wayne albums always have at least a few heaters on them.
-
Intro - 3.25/5. Not bad, doesn't sound all that album intro appropriate to me. It sounds like a mixtape freestyle on one listen lol.
Blunt Blowin' - 3.5/5. Not bad again. Some really wack lines at times though lol. I can vibe with it but not sure bout it's replay value though.
MegaMan - 4/5. This beat a monster. Sounds like "A Milli" 2011 but I think I dig it more than that. This shit real hard.
6 Foot 7 Foot - 4/5. This is another monster right there; bump this in the subs that shit crazy lol. I'd rate it with MegaMan.
Nightmares of the Bottom - 3/5. The title had me excited; thought it was gonna be some deep shit. I guess is an attempt, but the beat is kinda weak for the subject matter.
She Will - 4.25/5. Love this when I heard it. Beat is ill, Wayne is cool on it but Drake is who takes to the next level with that incredible hook.
How to Hate - 3/5. This music is average is fuck. Mines will be no beat. Not feeling it at all. Lol at how to hate a bitch.
Interlude - 5/5 Tech N9Ne going the fuck in as usual. This beat BANG too. Andre 3000 too :o That's a nice ass surprise! He wasn't listed on the features. That's sick.
John - 4/5. Love this since it came out too. Beat's a monster, ridin real hard. Ross kills it too. Good track overall.
Abortion - 3.5/5 This mothafucka ain't even speaking English in the beginning LOL. This beat is pretty tight. Don't love it but it's cool.
So Special - 4/5. This beat bangs. "I make her cum first, then I follow the leader" lol. This is a tight track. John Legend is DOPE on this too. I dig it.
How to Love - 3.5/5 I think this is a great written song from an artistic point of view. I think if this wasn't Wayne, more people would acknowledge that. I also think if he was a better singer, it would be better too lol.
President Carter - 4/5 This beat is cool. Wayne sounding better than usual lol. Y'all was right, he should rap more like this lol. Hook is kinda odd but it's a very good track.
It's Good - 4.5/5 Beat bangs. Jada sounding nice with the slow flow. Drizzy kills this shit too. Already infamous for Weezy dissing Hova, let's see how it plays out. Dope track!
Outro - 4.5/5. Bun B kicking this bitch off and he killin it, flowin his ass off. Nas up next and he soundin real smooth. Shyne sounding pretty weird LOL. Busta Rhymes sounds very nice too.
I'm digging 9 tracks, not feeling 6. Also, 2 of the tracks I dig, Wayne ain't even on LOL. This ain't a bad album, relatively decent. I'd say around a 7/10.
BONUS TRACKS (wanted to separate these from the album)
1. I like the View - 3.5/5. Sounds like a mixtape track. It's alright.
2. Mirror - 3.5/5 Surprised this didn't make the regular album. Bruno Mars is pretty big and this hook has hit record over it. Not sure the beat/verses are radio enough though.
3. Two Shots - 3.75/5 I'm digging this. Beat cool, Wayne soundin' cool on it. The hook tight too.
-

We basically agree on every track as always LOL.
Exactly, it's cool but not great, like 7/10
-
More or less agree with Luna & BloodMoney. It's got some dope, bumpable cuts. Nothing groundbreaking, but I don't listen to Wayne to be impressed with Hip Hop. He's just got a dope ass vibe to fuck with.
-

...and here I was thinking he'd sound good on a track. I downloaded this album because of your two replies.
Thanks for wasting my time :P
-
the cover sucks, ain't checked the album yet.
-
In one of my open minded moment , I've decided to listen to a full Wayne album for the 1st time ... I found it GARBAGE , some beats sound really cheap and his voice is unbearable to me ( Shyne still manages to out-wack him though :-X) ...

Yeah there's a few keepers on there, some duds as well though. Album had a cohesive sort of vibe which I liked. Strange using the same beat for Intro, Interlude and Outro and having a bunch of rappers on the last two, probably a better idea than just making one monster track, Wayne would of got out shined by everyone but Shyne (I was listening to Godfather Buried Alive yesterday, damn he's fallen off). President Carter, Megaman, John, It's Good, and Interlude probably the stand outs, really digging that Jada verse too.

-
So this is Shyne's first actual release since getting out right?
-
Whoa, came out of nowhere for me!
Lol at the cover ;D
-
I gave this record a first listen this morning and I was expected something because it's Wayne and it's The Carter 4!! but damn this is really fucking average... :(
-
Andre's verse on "Interlude" is pretty sick. Good beat too. Never been a fan of Tech though.
-
interlude is the best track cuz wayne aint on it...
"block is hot lil wayne">>>>>>>>>"current lil wayne"
-
- 6 Foot 7 Foot grew on me a lil bit
- Interlude was dope
- She Will is a solid single
- President Carter is the only real stand out track
- Outside of one of the bonus cuts, I could wipe my ass with this CD. I'd rather listen to "Lift Off" on repeat for 6 hours than play C4 from beginning to end again

Lil Wayne is uninpsired as fuck, the whole album is a testimony to bragadocius.. so fuckin sad. the typical Wayne-punchlines n lukewarm comedy is everywhere (n im used to it), but the subject matter is laughable. why cant a-list rappers just get all of that shit off the chest, on their mixtapes? this is an album, like fuck.. n im shakin my haed at times, when Wayne is smirkin to himself, ater he drops awkward rhymes that he thinks sound "cool" or "funny"
the music is generic n "bossy", n it works in small portions.. but the 808-claps transcended thru time on this bulshit. i know, dude's from the south, but can u have "music" on at least 2 or 3 songs?
shits bumpable n skipable, nothin wack, but nothin special -- n in comparison wit the previous efforts this shit is horrible (n i aint even heard "carter 3" yet.. i think) n def the biggest disapointment of the yr (shoouldve been justa DJ Drama-hosted mictape or somthin)
"6 Foot 7" is the best cut
n smh # Shyne's verse on "Outro"... :-[

What? I thought I captured the essence of the album well without a long ass track by track review. It's called journalism son.
-
"Real g's move in silence like lasagna"...wtf? Yeah I'm not gonna listen to this album.

wouldnt fly as a musical review, because u didn't review the actual music. u tried 2 analyze n review our lives, but it was straight comedy.. shit was a joke. funny, but u'd get more props if u gave a real review on the actual music instead of tryna play the part of the message board psychologist. this aint psychology today, it's dubcc, son.

it wasn't in the right sequence and that's why it started off sounding weak. it should've went like this:
01 - Interlude
02 - John
03 - She Will
04 - I Like The View/Megaman
05 - Mirror
06 - President Carter
07 - It's Good
08 - How To Love
09 - How To Hate
10 - Abortion
11 - Nightmares Of The Bottom
12 - Blunt Blowin'
13 - So Special
14 - 6 Foot 7 Foot
15 - Outro
16 - Megaman/I Like The View
a few more spins and i can tell u later
-
I expected almost nothing from this album so for me I was actually surprised how many songs I liked. It's not his best work but it's solid with a few standouts and a few duds
-
album sucks, i liked carter 3, his beats on there were better, also i wonder why minaj aint on the album, you woulda thought lol 8)
