Kanye was one thing, I need this dirty though.
Good to see it's leaking though.
Prediction: Will have a few good songs, but overall will have a very mixtape-like feel to it.
I'm hoping to be proved wrong.

Same here. Banks has been on point all year musically.

Without a doubt & that got me hyped as fuck for this album.
But then I listened to that sampler & it sounded like it wasn't going to have that constructive, deep, meaningful album feel; just good songs of him flowing thrown together.
Like I said, please prove me wrong, Banks.

Downloading now, will see how it goes
-
Take Em to War & So Forgetful are my favourites...
but i only just skimmed through it, needs a better listen

Where are all the Game haters who complained he had too many guest appearances on L.A.X.?

Why would anybody complain about guests on a Banks album? He's been sounding like he's got the swine flu for the last 2 years.. god knows what happened to his voice.
Complaining about Styles P, Pusha T, 50, Kanye, Akon and Raekwon, is redundant. 8)
-
Album is KNOCKING. Beats definitely the strong point of the album. Banks lyrically sharp throughout.
-
Pleasantly surprised by this. Pretty dope. The only tracks I'm not feeling are Any Girl and So Forgetful. Overall this shits on Rotten Apple.
-
1) Banks gave the public 5 free tapes of basically him going solo before he dropped this album of collaborations.
2) Game's name dropping + Game's features = a long winding trite road = boring
-
dope album 8)
-
god damn this album is boring, this is frisbee status
-
Where are all the Game haters who complained he had too many guest appearances on L.A.X.?
Yeah, but nobody is calling this a classic after listening to the first four songs either lol.
Need to bump this.
-
He sucks .He has the most shallow and forgetful music it is ridiculous . Even his new voice isn't gonna help him.
-
He has that many guest apperances for a reason. No way he can handle an album by himself. Not because he doesn't know how to structure songs but because his entertaiment value is close to none. He gets outshined on every track, not lyricaly but simply by their delivery and vocals.
-
The arrangement of the album reminds me of what was considered a dope commercial hip-hop album from the early 2000s. It's a collection of tracks that aren't connected in any particular manner. It's supported by an MC, who may or may not be able to rap well, and decent to dope beats. It's a fun album but it isn't a classic,
In some ways I'm disappointed. Banks is an incredibly MC that has the ability to release a truly classic album. I hate to say this but he needs a new mentor that isn't 50. Some one that encourages him to tighten up the rhymes so all the bars related to a particular subject matter for that particular track. Some one that encourages to record a non traditional hip-hop record. Some one that encourages the art over the dollar.
I was hoping the full 80s Baby would be included on the album under a different name but it wasn't. Hopefully that track will be leaked.

Just Got This...Will Have To Check It Out Later.

Fab killed it! As for the nigga Banks, he's past his prime. Nigga was ill back in the day when G-Unit just got big. Now he's got a fucked up voice doing dull tracks.
-
Disappointing. Banks was on point lyrically but the production was just flat out bad.
-
I've listened to this album about 3 times and I'm digging it. A few of the joints definitely have that Hunger For More feel, and the album sounds like a New York album which is rare these days. "Father Time" is hard as fuck, "Take Em To War" and "Payback" probably my other two favourite tracks. Keen for those bonus tracks
-
Kill It (Feat. Governor)

-
kill it better than some tracks on the album. mistake leaving it off
-
I've listened this 3 or 4 times, and it is just 5/3, or 10/5 not more...
It has nuttin xtra on it, just an average mediocre album...
-
Not Really Feelin This Album.....Couple Good Tracks But Other Than That Alot Of It Is Skippable.
-
1. Take 'Em 2 War - 3.5/5. Pretty good opener!
2. Unexplainable - 4/5. - Real NY hip hop shit here.
3. Payback - 4/5 - Same^. Good east coast hip hop. 50 laid a cool hook.
4. Home Sweet Home - 4.5/5. Cool 2 hear Banks & Pusha T on a track. Best song so far
5. Beamer, Benz or Bentley - 3.5/5. We've all heard it lol
6. So Forgetful - 3/5. Very skippable.
7. Father Time - 4/5. Good track
8. Start It Up - 5/5. Banger!
9. Celebrity - 2.75/5. Trash
10. On the Double - 3/5. Deleted already. No value
11. Any Girl - 3.75/5. Actually like it better than Beamer Benz Bentley. Hard beat
12. I Don't Deserve You - 3.5/5. The best "female" track on the album. Not sure it will have much replay value though.
13. Sooner or Later - 4/5. Again, good raw east coast hip hop
A very decent album. As close as Banks will ever get to replicating what he did on his first record. If your a Banks fan, U will love on this record. IF U not a Banks fan, will this won't change your mind so U shouldn't be listening to it anyways.

I agree with this pretty much on point, except "Start It Up" is a 3.5/5 for me... entertaining album overall
