who misses that classic g-funk sound. I know some of you say you get tired of producers like Dre doing the same type of sound for years and are glad that he is switching it up. I long for Dre, Daz and other producers to go back to that classic sound. I will never grow tired of it. I could listen to it for the rest of my life. Anyone feel me on this.
-
i feel you
especially snoop going to back to old gangsta sound instead of his funky sound or whatever he is doing now, shit that compilation sucked :-/
-
i want more songs like Dr Dre - Puffin on Blunts and Drinkin Tanqueray
but that will never happen :(
-
I feel you totally.

the one song that came out and kinda reminded me of that sound was "Chin Check" by NWA i thought that track was the closest that its gotten back to that old style.....its no wonder why i love that track so much

Word, I luv that song so much. That song is the sole reason I want the NWA reunion album soooooooooo bad. The beat is mad bangin, and everyone raps so damn tight. I wish they would of performed this song at up in smoke.

I'm totally feelin' a hunger for some classic G-funk. Them Warren G CD's are in heavy rotation in my stereo...
This is how we all get down, bring back that G shit to me...
-
tha dogg pound, dre, snoop, warren g and artists like that shud all make a new g-funk album, with that old classic g-funk sound on sum new tite beats like dem old ones...it wud be a banga!
especially since warren g is still tryna hold it down for g-funk...maybe they cud make 2-1-3 album like that if we ever c one?

Feel y'all. i find myself listenin to G-Funk classics and reminiscin several times a week, though I ain't really been down from day one. It's not that there ain't no good hiphop anymore (most of the mainstream turned wack compared to the mid-90's though) but nearly all of the MC's from back then fell off; Daz never matured, Kurupt got even worse, Dre keeps on producin the same way (he's great, but repetitive), Snoop ain't gettin better either, DJ Quik's still good but not as dope as he used to be, Ice Cube simply lost it, Eazy's dead anyways, the DOC's voice got fucked up in an accident and wtf is up with RBX, The Lady Of Rage and King T ? Nowadays most of the good gangsta rap comes from Norcal (Sac-Town and Da Bay), at least the shit I listen to

I agree!
