Here is a good review of some of the tracks from the listening sessions
http://hiphop-n-more.com/2012/09/album-preview-kendrick-lamar-good-kid-m-a-a-d-city-listening-session/
And some info for the people curious about the Dr. Dre feature...
Kendrick and Dre ride out to Just Blaze production and celebrate Compton, boasting about how rap was able to take harsh realities and translate it into great art. The real star of the show, however, is Just Blaze. He flips the beat at the very end to create an entirely new beat. This serves as an outro which is true to L.A.'s history and the music that was relevant in L.A. before hip-hop.
-
Looks like a boring album....Also , Dre on the mic over another producer's beat = ::)
-
It is kinda short. Maybe he should add like 3 bonus tracks or something. A solid 15 will do it justice
-
Hype for that Gaga track.
-
Hopefully this isn't the final tracklist. He opts for a Jay Rock & Dre feature over Ab-Soul & Schoolboy Q ???
-
As long as it's a dope album, I could give two shits about guest features or producers.
-
It ain't real https://www.twitter.com/kendricklamar/status/251529021572124672
I thought y'all were fans and supported "real" hip hop smh?
-
Has to be fake, The Recipe is missing. And isnt Q-Tip producing on the album?

The Recipe won't make the final tracklist ... might be a bonus track though
-
Drake is indeed on the album.
I think the tracklist is real. Rappers always deny when tracklist leak early and claim it's not the right one. In the end, maybe 1 or 2 small changes, but more or less the same shit.
Anyways, I think the tracklist looks great. I really do hope The Recipe and Cartoon & Cereal are bonus tracks.

Okay, what if jay-z would be on his album would you still maybe surprised? i know that you don´t like jay-z at all like me that´s why im asking you know.
i think kendrick will not use this dark sound cause it´s a commerical album.

I am very happy with Swimming Pools and Art Of Peer Pressure, they are grimey enough ;D

Why? Assuming that Gaga has no creative input whatsoever besides singing the goddamn hook like she's told that track could turn out quite nicely. 8)

I agree. People get too upset on this forum about features before they ever hear the song (a la Detox). You can't judge music you haven't heard before.
-
All Terrace Martins shit sounds the same - pleasant sounds, but no song direction (unless copied).
Doubt he could nail a hit song with GaGa and K.Dot.

thanks for proving u aint got no idea of music at all. terrace martin is one of the best musicians the west coast has got.
anyways, i doubt that any of the tracklists is real so far and i wont believe anything you post unless kendrick oder tde confirm this. and u should be careful with judging the album before u even heard it. but then again, it's dubcc, so what am i sayin... ::)

This appears to be a more valid tracklist than the other ones. It's unlikely that there's going to be a song titled 'Sing about me, I'm dying of thirst' on the album.

True to a certain extent, at least I know where you're coming from. But he proved that he's a exellent producer on many occasions.
