Title: the most insane topic of all.
Post by: rafsta on February 14, 2005, 02:36:56 PM
our destiny is written, the reason its written is because everything is a mathematical equation...

this is a theory einstein began and tried to solve it but he died, this is the same time when quantam physics jumped off...

our destiny is written, think of it this way, everything is 100% predictable, i mean everything, but in order to predict it you must know all the variables that effect an equation, throwing up a dice is not random at all, if you knew the exact speed angle etc the dice was thrown you could predict where and how it would land, bounces n all... we cant predict it but god could, just like he knows everything we will do, our lives are a complicated lengthy mathematical equation, it will follow the equation because god knows all the variables he knows exactly what will happen.

even some one doing something completely random is 100% predictable.

unfortunately einstein was shonned for his trying to read the mind of god, because quantum physics is the random universe, to us it seems everyuthing is random thats because we dont see all the variables.

well the theory is true, if we did know the variables of our lives, we could know the future..................................

but well never know the varibles so the equation is impossible.

There aint no God to begin with.
Plus, how the dice flies is predictable if you know everything, but you can't predict when and if someone is throwing a dice, because that is up to him and not predestined or any of that load of crap.

im discussing our deswtiny is written, im not sayin we can know our destiny.

its also a bigger equation if someone is throwing the dice, its calculated, the mood of the person the strenght of their arm, wind etc... it just adds to the equation...

A hole in your theory? What the hell has throwing a dice to do with the chemics going on inside your brain and in the brain of others? That's what's the biggest influence on the future. Of course you can calculate how and when the dice are going to bounce. Then again, by the time you're done calculating all that, the dice have been done moving for hours.

How are you planning to calculate what the grey masses in your head are going to decide to do?

... it's not all written, but it sure was a quite good cd by Nas.

Maybe it is, because you had me confused (maybe you were talking about the first post in this thread?).

It would be interesting to see what theories Einstein would come up with say if he had eternal life... What would he be thinking in 2005? Would he have solved theories like these?

i think if he lived another 10 years he wouldve solvewd the equation, he was onto something, but noone is to know, he died because he was solving the impossible.

the theory makes sense, i don't believe you could be completely random even if you tried, because randomness is predictable, especially when you are known to try to be random.  i believe life is already written, but we don't know it, and we couldn't possibly understand that.      and it's understandable why people shunned Einstein.  anytime there is a mix between religion and science, someone is offended in someway because of their beliefs.

i dunno why people are neglecting this and saying it's stupid, but it makes perfect sense. If we all knew everything there was to know about the chemicals that make up our bodies, we would also be able to predict what the chemicals are gonna do, they're not random at all, but they react according to certain factors. I dunno if this is math, physics, but it sounds more like probability. You all should definitely check out the movie "Pi", as in the mathematical symbol that is 3.14.... it's a GREAT fucking flick by the same director as "A Requiem for a Dream". check it out

I dunno if I believe in this.  I just thought of a hole in the argument, proving myself, again, smarter than Albert Einstein.

You could say, in Einstein's theory, that everything is predictable, down to even our thoughts... for instance, maybe you would know that if this dog ran barking at this guy, em, lets call him Bob, you could know how fast the dog was running, how loud he was growling, how fast the wind was blowing, how heavy the dog was, how Bob was feeling that day, how tall Bob was, etc. and maybe you could correctly, if you were God, predict how Bob would act.  Would Bob run away from the dog, or would Bob fight the dog?  You could predict that, in Einstein's theory, knowing all the variables.

The one wild card, though is the human mind.  Not only the strength of the Human Mind, but also it's weaknesses.  What if, Bob had a dog, that looked EXACTLY like this dog, when he was a little boy.  Exactly! The dog's name was Pepper, and he hadn't seen Pepper in 20 years.  So, when the dog ran at him, maybe God would predict through the variables, that Bob would run from the dog, and be afraid.  In reality, though, Bob's wild card kicks in, and when he sees the dog running, instead of feeling fearful, his mind reminds him of Pepper... and for a brief second, he's overwhelmed by the similarities between Pepper and the dog he's seeing now, the dog catches him off guard, and starts biting him.

Therefore the destiny of that situation was incorrectly predicted, because it had no way of taking into calculation the wild card: Bob's mind, the mind of a human being.

its just another variable dumass, there is no wild card in life.

The human mind can't be predicted, even by God himself.  That's the whole point of creation... but I think we've learned enough about the limits of your mind in this thread, so I don't really have to explain my point much further, you did a great job of it for me.
Title: Re: the most insane topic of all.
Post by: rafsta on March 07, 2005, 08:31:25 PM
thats the thing we are sooo predictable, even when someone does something random, there is a previous event that causes someone to do something random, making it completely predictable in the long run, just in a small time it seems random because only the situation at hand is being analysed.

your example of the dog, to someone that doesnt know the person it is random that the child doesnt run away from the dog, for the childs parents they know that the child may see a resemblance in the dog and may not run.

your taking a scientific perspective of randomness which comes in with quantam physics, how i dont know because my knowledge of quantam physics is limited although i might read up on it tonight.

to me its obvious that if you know all the variables, which if god exists he knows all variables, therefore everything is 100 % predictable... to me its common sense, we just have a different way of thinking thats all.

sorry but i made a mistake, i was talking about quantam physics, what trauma is getting at randomness is general relativity theory of einstein, einstein also came up with quantam physics but was shonned for it...

Whoa, I find this type of shit really interesting and yes this is true, everything operates in a certain way and with rules. the most important of these are here:

Newtonian constant of gravitation
Linear velocity of light
Permeability of vacuum
Permittivity of vacuum
Fine structure constant
Rydberg constant
Electron charge
Planck constant
Electron mass
Proton mass
Proton-electron mass ratio
Boltzmann constant

these names are the most common constants that if were to differ would creat a completly illusive and chaotic universe. each has its own number to which would control the universe in an orderly conduct. for example, the strong nuclear force constant, if larger: no hydrogen would form; atomic nuclei for most life-essential elements would be unstable; thus, no life chemistry.if smaller: no elements heavier than hydrogen would form: again, no life chemistry

pretend i was to play god for a second and changed this constant: Ratio of Electrons:Protons with varient of 1:10^37. if this where to change just one number up or down would make the universe fake.

One part in 1037 is such an incredibly sensitive balance that it is hard to visualize. The following analogy might help: Cover the entire North American continent in coins all the way up to the moon, a height of about 239,000 miles. Next, pile coins from here to the moon on a billion other continents the same size as North America. Paint one coin red and mix it into the billion of piles of coins. Blindfold a friend and ask him to pick out one coin. The odds that he will pick the red dime are one in 1037.

so really when u think about it the universe is increadibly accurate. also these have to be balanced, with the movement of light, matter, chemical reactions etc, which in turn equals our actions to the fourth dimension 'time'. most of this is proven in M thoery.

so yes, our destiny has been written. its hard to imagine who would create such constants to keep us here, but who knows wat fantacys god has.

wow, you must actually study physics in university or something, coz some of the shit you said i can't really understand...

why is it that of all the billions of coins a person choosing one is 1 in 1037 ? wouldnt it be 1 in however many coins there are ? that analogy didn't help me understand, do you have another ?

yeah were studying this stuff is psycology 1. Scientists have been studying this theory for decades, theres 2 sides to the argument. Determinism VS Free Will.....rafsta is arguing the Determinism side and Trauma the Free Will. Theres no proof for either side so you can argue til the end of time.

^^^ well i know i'm right, Trauma hasn't set one good example down yet.... to me it's common sense that everything we do and have done and will do is already known. Our time means nothing, the universe in God's eyes could have excisted and ceased in a fraction of a millisecond. God already knows what has happen.

Actually, I dont study physics at university... and I hardly ever showed up to my science classes in highschool..(which I now regret) but I have spent alot of time educating myself on physics, theories and how things work.

this is the only piece of science which actually links up with God... when Einstein was writing the equations he said he was attempting to read the mind of God. Christians believe God knows all aswell.... It's more science (as we know it) which is going against it...
