when i heard about the 2007 dub awards I realized that my most prolific contributions in my entire time on the board were not recent (more like late 06 and early 07) and my best work would not be in the recent annals of communal consciousness. That said, I went through my entire 318 page post history and picked what I consider to the best threads and posts from my time here. Here you'll find my more important, essays, discussions, conversations and tangents. I will also probably use this archive as a source of my own essays to cull writing from for future pieces I may write. Please check these out, because most of these discussions are discussions I'd probably be still be willing to have for those of y'all who are always tryna get me on some hip hop conversation. This has everything from random observations to my 'going off on tanjints' column. I've been doing this instead of posting since the middle of december btw.
the point of this is to have some cool discussions/threads to pull out/rediscuss or whatever when there's nothing ideologically appealing to jump into which I'm often told is the case

Anyway, Kill. Many cool people on this board who have been really supportive of me and my essay like style have been requesting I get re-involved in heavy duty discussion on the board AND the dubcc awards just happened in which I was nominated for awards like quality poster, poster of the yr. etc. I felt that my recent exploits on the board didn't make a very stong case for why I should win either of those awards so with the homies who wanted my discussive input in mind, as well as the desire to put forth why I believe I was worthty of being nominated for those awards I started compiling this.
1) it makes a good case I think for my diversity and thoroughness on a nice breadth of topics
2)those homies who are always asking for new posts from me can go through these to a) reiginite any worthwhile discussions, b) catch some previous discussions they may have missed that may have been before their time.
also, considering some of the threads that get constantly bumped ('if your also bothered by xander's stupid comments' or whatever comes to mind) a thread full of essays and discussions seems pretty legit I think.

The DPG threads are some of my favorites. Kurupt has been my favorite MC but I really underestimated Daz work on the independent tip that he did from around 1999-2002 including the Makaveli and Dillinger album that Tanj talked about in one of his threads. I mean who cares about the booklet and the cheap looking case or whatever when Daz is bringing the real on these releases just like you stated. Great threads I'm really glad you brought them back.

I agree Hotel California isn't a top 10 of all time song, but it is super great in my opinion.
I like a lot of their other stuff too....I can't think of names but there some whole albums I've heard and enjoyed and most things I've heard and enjoyed in different contexts as well.
