1. Chuuch!!! - 4/5. Dope ass intro. Always gotta have J. Prince on there talkin his thang. Typical great Bun B album intro.
2. Trillionaire - 4.25/5. Bangin ass beat and one of the better catchy ass T-Pain hooks. Great mainstream single right here.
3. Just Like That - 4/5 - Dope beat and great Bun B/Jeezy collaboration. Another great album cut. Typical riding southern music right here.
4. Put It Down - 3.75/5 - Beat is very Drake-ish. Bun B sounds fine on it though. Flows on it well. Drake sounds very comfortable on here. Pretty good song.
5. Right Now - 3.5/5 Pimp C starting the shit off thats wusup. Man I miss the Pimp :'( He flowed his ass off here. Trey Songz sounds OK on it. 2Pac verse is ok, seems a bit out of place. But I guess this is what 2Pac would sound like today on beats like this. Bun B sounds cool too.
6. Skit - N/A
7. Countin' Money - 4/5 Beat bangs. Screw hook works too. Yo Gotti sounds great on here too. Even Gucci Mane is tolerable.
8. Speak Easy - 4.25/5 Beat is different and Bun B flows PERFECTLY. Can you imagine Devin the Dude on this with the "blues" feeling it has to it? Regardless, Twista killed it.
9. Lights, Camera, Action - 3.25/5 Beat is decent. Bun B sounds OK on it. But for some reason the track seems a little unnecessary in terms of being on the album. Would be cool to see him perform it in the right atmosphere though.
10. I Get Down for Mine - 3.75/5 This beat is hard and I'm liking how aggressive Bun sounds. I like how hard this is.
11. Snow Money - 3.5/5 Title sounds like a track Pimp C should be on. Bun B flows his ass off again, perfectly fitting the beat. Track is Ok. Nothing super special.
12. Ridin' Slow - 3.75/5 That slow whip shit. Play N Skillz killed the hook too. Beat is very smooth. Slim Thug sounds cool on here. Again, wish this had Pimp C.
13. Let 'Em Know - 4.5/5 2nd Time we've heard Bun B on a Premo track? 1st on his own, his track. Better than the Premier beat on Fat Joe's album. Lovin it!
14. Skit - N/A
15. All A Dream - 3.75/5 Beat is hard. Letoya should have done the whole hook although what Bun B says on it is real shit.
16. It's Been a Pleasure - 3.75/5 Great closing track. Cool to have Drake on it again.
Solid album for what it is. Anyone wanting a UGK album should go listen to UGK. Bun B is a separate entity and the sound is different. Yes it's more updated and southern mainstream but it's still good music. Another good Bun B solo disc.
Best tracks:
Chuuch
Trillionaire
Just Like That
Countin' Money
Speak Easy
Let 'Em Know
Onto the bonus tracks.. I decided to separate them for the rest.
17. Gladiator - 4/5 Beat is banging. This is hard as hell.
18. Sext Me - 1/5 Pop right here. Annoying bitch on the hook. Thank God he didn't include this on the actual album. Sounds like that damn Yung Berg song.
19. Real Live - 3/5 Beat is cool. The Gator is terrible. GLC is pretty good here. Same GLC on G.O.O.D. music?
20. 'Git In - 3/5. Beat is alright. Bun B flow cool. Capp & Moe, nothin special.
-
Good review Luda^ This is probably my fav of his solo albums so far. The others had too many misses on them this has some tracks that arent classic but they still damn dope!
*Bonus tracks weren't counted for me I only got the normal GR*
-
it didnt have poor quality reviews kuz it came from the actual deluxe album bun dropped off in the 1st city of his lil game he playin

Chuuch
Trillionaire
Just Like That
Put It Down
Right Now
Countin' Money
Speak Easy
I Get Down For Mine
Snow Money
Ridin Slow
'Let Em Know
It's Been a Pleasure
12/14 (16, 2 skits) tracks with dope replay value.. All a Dream & Lights,Camera,Action don't do much for me.
Very good album
-
II Trill - 8.5/10
Trill O.G. - 8/10
Trill - 7/10
-
liking this album, weird to hear bun over "its been a pleasure" after listening to the drake version for a while. also, THIS ALBUM IS MASTERED!!!! Unlike II Trill

for me it was 11/14 wit replay value

after a few listens, another solid album for Bun B's catalog... my only complaints were pretty much the same as others have said, lack of Pimp C and Z-Ro and too much Drake, he wasn't necessary on the intro lol there's some tracks I kinda felt ehh about but I'm sure some will grow on me
best tracks IMO: "Let Em Know", "Right Now", "All A Dream", "Ridin' Slow", "Countin' Money", and "Just Like That"
-
Is this shit out on GR?
-
right now sucks
the drake song sucks too
he's 0/2 but i'll reserve jugdement til i get the full p roduct
-
I don't know about this... Bun isn't spitting like he used to, and the production is thin. There's nothin bad, but not much that stands out. The Pac track is corny, and the first half is real generic. Album steps up with Ridin Slow, Let Em Know, A Dream, and Its Been a Pleasure. But then the albums over. The other Drake song is alright too, but its one of the better tracks of the first half when it should be more of the norm.
Dissapointed, but its better than II Triill atleast.
Trill > Trill OG > II Trill
-
Grouprip is out I think.

Man, I hate to say this, but this album is mediocre (biggest disappointment of the year). Only stand out track is "Let 'Em Know." I really like "Chuuch" and "Ridin' Slow", but the rest is meh
-
IM about to pick this up in the morning, looking forward to it
anyone got the iTunes bonus tracks "The Best Is Back" and "56 Bars"?
-
I'm listening to the album now and I'm at the song with 2Pac. So far this is the only decent song. :-\
-
The albums been growing on me. Iv had in rotation quite a bit, theres only a couple tracks i skip (not including the skits). If you add the 2 iTunes bonus songs to the Deluxe version and take off both skits and Sext Me, it makes the album that much stronger with the Bun solo tracks. My Favs are:
Chuuch!
Just Like That
I Git Down For Mine
Snow Money
Let Em Know
Gladiator (deluxe)
The Best Is Back (itunes)
58 Bars (itunes)
On the DVD he comments on every song. He said Right On, use to be a differant song with Lloyd and the Pac verse but that song didn't get clearance so he remade the track into "Right Now". Also the instrumentals for "Lights, Camera, Action" & "I Git Down 4 Mine" were one song but Bun had to talk Steve Below into breaking the beats up into 2 different songs.
-
Hmm, I've listened to this twice now. Didn't get the "damn this is banging" feeling on either listen. Gotta bump it more I guess
-
this shit still bangin idk yall thinkin its decent or not good what yall expect?
