Title: To Trauma (or any other Michael fan)
Post by: caTASHtrophe on January 20, 2002, 05:14:26 AM
Do u know where i can get hold of the "Butterflies Remix" with EVE in CDQ.

I have the track but it has some Dickhead DJ chatting on it and want a good quality version with NO DJ over it.

Also Trauma whats going on with Michaels next single? where is it? Im sure he's taking to long to release his next single.

You may or may not know this but on VH1's "on Hit Wonders" Micheal was in it for his Invincible album. The presenter said the album and michael has been all but forgotten and the only thing that made any noise was "Rock My World".

What kind of shit is that?

well from what i remember trauma goes sumthin about unbreakable being the next vidoe i think but i aint totally so sure as he said alot of things!lol, nah but i think he goes he aint so sure why no new single has come out yet but i think he goes its sumthin to do with him not bein happy with the way he luks or sumthim. so hows invincible doin in america? here in the UK i think its kinda flopped....i aint fully sure, u know how much he selled in the UK?

what dya think of the album? now that i hear it more n more i dont find it as gud as some of his past work.....only cuz it aint as original while with all his other projects he changed the style of pop. but theres also some great songs on it 2.

but dangerous is still my fav mj album while billie jean is still my fav song.

soz i cudnt help ya with ya question though! im sure when traumas back here he'll help ya out.

LyRiCaL_G, Nice to see more Michael fans up in here.

Thanks for the info.

What do i think of Invincible?
I LOVE it, i bought it on the day od its release and still can't get over it. The strange thing is that i have always loved his fast pop tracks but since getting Invincible i can't stop listening to his slow tracks on this album and his older albums.

My fav tracks on Invincible are...

Break Of Dawn
Heaven Can Wait
Rock My World
Butterflies (in my top 10 best MJ songs EVER)
Speechless
Don't walk Away
Cry
WhatEver Happens (Brilliant, i'd love to see a vid for this)
Threatened.

Since the release of this album i appreciate his slow tracks on his other albums a whole lot more. Tracks like "Stranger in Moscow", "I Just can't Stop loving You", "Fly Away" etc.

As for the album it self, to be honest i don't know where i would rank it amongst his albums. For me "BAD" is his best album followed by "Dangerous" as for all the others i love them equally (although i don't listen to Thriller At ALL (had it for 15 years, finaly got board of it).

And yeh Invincible seems to have all but flopped here in the UK. :(

What's Up, Yall.

First Off, Butterflies Is The Next Single.  It Comes Out In Early February... Even Though It's Been On The Radio For 2 Months Now.

Remember The Album Has Only Been Out Since The End Of October, A Total Of Only 3 Months.  It's Approaching Double Platinum, With 1 Video, That's Pretty Good, I Think, Hardly A Flop.  Not Up To His Standards, But It DID Outsell His Last Album In Only 3 Months.  Supposedly It's Sold About 8 Million Around The World... That's Pretty Good, Actually.  In Places Like France, It's Still High On THe Charts, In America I THink It's #28 Or so... In England, It Debuted At #1, So I Wouldn't Call It A Flop There, Either.

He'll Perform On The Grammys, Supposedly He's Gonna Do 2 Or 3 Songs.

After Butterflies (And I'm Not Sure If They'll Be A Video), Unbreakable Is The Next Single, There's About 6 Remixes Of It Coming Out.

Michael Is Also On Brandy's New Cd, On A Song Called "It's Not Worth It".  He Sings The Hook, Or It's A Sample, Or Somethin'.

Now Here's The Big News: Michael Is Trying To Leave Sony/Epic Records, Who He's Been Signed To Since 1978.  The Reason Is That Michael Is Unhappy With The Promotion This Album Has Received (Hardly Any, Besides A Few T.V. Ads), And Michael Feels That If His Album Was Properly Promoted, It Would Be Much More Successful.  Sony Offered 2 Million To Film "You Rock My World", And Mike Paid 3 Million Out Of His Own Pocket To Finish It.  Sony Has Virtually Refused To Help Him Film Any Other Videos For The Album, And Won't Release Any Commercial Singles, Instead Pushing Them Back (For Instance, Butterflies Was Supposed To Come Out In December, But Has Now Been Pushed Back To Early February.  No Video.)

Mike's CBS Concert Was Hugely Successful, And He's Been Trying To Do Some Local USA Shows This Coming Year, With Little Support From Sony.  Mike Had Planned To Do Huge Videos For Whatever Happens, Unbreakable, And Threatened On This Album, With Sony Telling Him Originally That They Would Release Every Song On The Album As A Single If He'd Promote It.  Then They Totally Backed Out Of Promoting The Album, Despite It Selling 8 Million Copies Worldwide In Only 3 Months, With No Promotion, And 1 Video.

yeah thats a kool song 2....well gangsta man.lol

so we can finally expect another michael video, a performance at the grammy's!!! no one can perform like michael so im gonna have to record that when its on.......when is it on?

and if michael doez move to another label instead of epic/sony....we may even hear more michael albums! so really all in all its all good right! plus michael said he wants to make more songs that are more meaing to him and touch him, so we can expect to hear lot more, maybe in the future off michael jackson. i think the only thing misssin from michael jackson is the flow he had in songs like smooth criminal, beat it, thriller n billie jeans. i mean like his vioce is at its peak now but on fast songs his vioce gets all low n stuff, i think if he could get that back hed be don. oh n trauma why hasnt michael worked with quincy?

I dunno, I guess michael wanted new blood on it.  Remember, a lot of who artists colab. with has to do with what they're record company wants.  Maybe quincy wanted too much money? I dunno.  I think it's probably a little bit of Michael not wanting Quincy telling him what to do, they're both legends.

I'd look for Quincy on the next album, though, because him and Mike have been talking about each other a lot lately.

yeah, dre said he didn't want to work with him.  His reason was he only wanted to work with artists from his past, or people he can mold.  I think it's because 1. he thought mike was finished, 2. he thought mike was gay, and 3. he thought mike wouldn't do what he told him to .

Ayyy What the hell is going on?  :o

Your all having a Micheal discussion without me? >:(

This is unacceptable. ;)

Anyway i hope that mike hooks up with Quincy in the future coz them 2 need each other. its like

Bone and DJ uneek
Snoop and Dre
Wu and Rza
Daz and Kurupt
Mike and Quiny.

also one of the things i didn't understand is how come mike never wrote most of the tracks on this album? Mike wrote nearly the whole of "Bad" and that turned out amazing.

Hmm... He Cowrote most of the songs, and coproduced all of the songs, and fully produced "speechless" himself.  Some of his best songs he didn't write, like "man in the mirror".

I got Butterflies remix w/Eve in full CDQ, still an DJ intro though...but he shuts the fuck up when the song starts.

I have the same version, its just that i wanna put it on CD so i preferably want it with out the DJ on it.

True but its just that he did so well with writing most of the tracks on Bad i always think he should write more of his material on his own. He's clearly good at it.
