Steve Francis must have liked his visit to Orlando on Tuesday, because the Magic and the Rockets have finalized a seven-player trade that's been brewing for a week.

Francis, Cuttino Mobley and Kelvin Cato were sent to Orlando for Magic superstar Tracy McGrady , Juwan Howard, Reece Gaines and Tyronn Lue.

The deal is contingent on players passing physicals. An announcement is expected Wednesday afternoon.

The Rockets are running a "Welcome t-mac!" headline over a photo of McGrady in a Houston uniform on their Web site.

It had been reported that Lue likely would have exercised his option to terminate his contract, making him ineligible for the trade and thus holding it up. But Lue has decided to remain in his contract and will play for the Rockets next season, sources told ESPN.com Insider.

Houston Rockets 2003/04 = Orlando Magic 2004/05

Yea, most people already knew this trade was gunna take place 2 weeks ago...The only setback was that Francis wanted to stay in Houston...I think both teams got a good deal...McGrady and Yao can make a deadly combo, and the Magic needed a change...Good trade...PeACe

i agree with the dude who said that the houston rockets will be like the orlando magic of last year and the magic will be the houston rockets of last year. Francis and Mobley made the rockets last season, and t-mac...well he got a scoring title. lol

i wish shaq would do a 180 and stay so a houston lakers matchup would happen where shaq would collide with his 'rival' and kobe would clash with his 'rival'

but IMO Orlando got the bigger of the trade

At least we finally got a half decent point guard. Need someone to replace Mcgrady though for sure, and a decent center.

if i was a betting man, i'd put my chips on houston.  the pieces they just picked up really filled what they needed to be a good team.  mcgrady's finally on a team where he doesn't have to take every shot and yao ming finally has a team mate who will share the ball.  now before anybody says t-mac doesn't pass the ball... have a look at some of his games when he played for the raptors.  he only took so many shots with the magic because he was the only person good enough to do it.
