This is really dope. He touches on a lot of issues. His acting has improved. Nice video production for a street tape track.
Claims Dre doesn't want to work with him. Damn.
It's going to be on some spins.
He's bumping the same shirt Bishop Lamont was in Everyday in the Streets.

That's a reach when Dre already produced the music. He clearly talking about mixing the songs which he mentioned in other interviews.
It's clear Relapse 2 and Detox is priority for Jimmy so 50 on back burner til those are done, it seems.
Video is sick, song sick, BTW

They putting pressure on me, son, now they want me to snap
They look like X and Whitney in my mansion smoking crack
I'm paranoid, I'm feeling like niggas is trying to get me
Forget the kids, I'm shaving off my fucking head like Britney
Dre won't mix my records now I need to talk to Jimmy
I'm falling back on my olds way surviving with the semi
Who's calling me? It's Chrissy on the other line with Diddy
But I don't want to talk right now my day is going shitty
Why Jay rocking that Urkle look? Isn't he from Marcy?
They say he's growing dreads and he's talking like a yati.
Now everything is changing, I don't understand a thing
I guess this is all that bullshit that all the money brings

My baby momma's boyfriend like to talk like he can hurt me
I'm laughing cause she kissed him in the mouth and gave him herpes
That just makes him want to get 50 niggas to murk me
Nigga found my truck and burnt I found in Jersy
You can ask my son he'll tell you my dad is fucking crazy.
She filled his head with shit now I think he fucking hates me
Shady didn't invent me but a star is what he made me.
I'll blow your fucking mind out if I told you what he paid me.
He gave me all the pills he had left that's why I'm so high.
Makes me feel so good now that I'm not so scared to die
I wish a nigga would, I dare a mutherfucka to try
You get at me and miss you can kiss your black ass goodbye.
I'm on flight 187 187

My lawyers want retainers, everyone I give them stacks
in case they want to send me up state for murder like Max
Man, I wasn't the shooter I was never on the scene
So if they do forensics they'll find out it wasn't me
There's no need for a lie detector I ain't saying shit
The more you talk the higher chances of doing a bid
Today I read the paper, it said Tru Life caught a case
They said they found a victim with a knife stuck in his face
I spoke to Michael Vick, I told him I'm happy he's home.
You tell them crackers sorry nigga and then you get back on.
When dogs are fighting in the hood nobody gives a fuck.
So you get back in shake it on the field and show'em what's up.

This is a typical 50 song, throwing a couple jabs at people to stir some controversy but im not mad at that, it means he must be dropping a single soon and it's about time he dropped that album, anyway the songs dope but i just wish he'd stop with that whiny ass voice
-
lmao @ this corny ass flow
damn this dude is done
-
What kind of rap do you like? Swear you just hate on almost everything.
-
the moment he gave vick props is the moment i despised 50 more than i used to. I didnt think it was possible.

People need to remember 50 during the height of his pig headedness during the whole Game/50 thing said shit like "If Dre work with Game then me and Dre gonna have a problem" how the fuck 50 gonna talk like a dictator to the dude who birthed him into what he became. Without In Da Club 50 would've been just another popular rapper, not as big and legendary as he supposedly is
I'm sure Dre continued to work with him because he thought 50 was money. But now that 50's heading towards being Ja Rule and having no buzz for his new album Dre probably realizes 50 ain't gonna get him the money he once did thus no need to fuck with him and his huge ego.
-
LOL AT HIM STEALING EMINEMS FLOW
-
This is kinda ill.
I don't mind 50 in small doses but you can tell he's struggling to find shit to rap about.
-
Yeah this is that shit! Ill be throwing this in my gym playlist. This shit makes me wanna sock a nigga in the chest! :)
-
Thanks!
-
Right its as simple as this....you moan when 50 puts out gangsta shit saying he cant rap about nothing else ..then you moan when he puts out party tracks and tracks for the women...then people start saying that want the old 50 back he releases war angel back on his grimey shit then people moan hes a millionare talking about gangsta shit blah blah....then you moan you want more personal music then he release a track like this talking about about more personal issues then moan about this.
This shit is hot dont like it dont listen.
-
50 coming out with some dope shit as of late! Probably dropped the best material this summer outta all the rappers
-
this is dope..agre with A1..who's produced sounds like Havoc<?

I disagree with you, to say dre "birthed" 50 is riduculous. If anything it was eminem who made him what he was and 50 would tell you the same, in the club was a average track, that had nothing to do with his success it was due to the fact at the time he was what the game was missing he could have dropped Candy shop and it would have blown him up. His buzz was crazy back then.
Aslo people need to stop looking at dre like hes some sort of messiah, to me it seems like hes a time waister and lazy relying on his past success to keep people thinking hes the greatest.

Ok, Em did help 50 a lot, but In Da Club was definately a HUGE factor in 50's fame. That "average track" was non stop on he music channels and radio for like a year.
-
I agree, but as i say it wasnt the track itself, it was 50's buzz that blew the track up, it could have been any half decent track and people would have still took to it. So there for in my opinion not Dres production that "birthed him" as my man said in an earlier post.
Also dre has definatly not helped 50 much after in the club nor em for that matter, it was purely 50s grind that got him where he is and his grind before that that got him the attention of em and dre.,.......Just my opinion.
Also again 50 took in da club off of D12 because they couldnt do anything with it so it wasnt dres production that made the track a hit, it was 50s input if anything.
-
badd ass song homie now i never really listened to 50's records because he got really mainstream but his last few mixtapes is where its at
bringin it back to the streets an thats what these peeps need to do to stay real an keep that gritty hip hop movin!

Wrong. I'm not saying Dre is perfect. He does some things wrong. But to denie that In Da Club had alot to do with 50's rise to fame is ridiculous
If you ask people these days its probably his most well known song and biggest hit. I remember it was so hot at the time you had everybody, including BEYOUNCE doing there own version of it.
Sure, I personally think its overrated, but I know for a fact many people to this day and even more so at the time loved it.
Eminem didn't have as much impact just cause they're closer friends and Em's a rap god don't mean he did as much for 50 as Dre.
Dre produced alot of GRODT and thats considered a classic whereas the rest of 50's albums had less Dre involvement and were less successful (albeit successful)
WHether you like it or not. theres facts in life. The sky's blue, blood is red, we breath oxygen and Dre made 50's biggest hit and boosted him from an uprising rapper to a household name!
-

I think it was a bit of both. I give 50 credit where its due, and it definately wasn't a beat that D-12 would've suited, it definately suited 50 more and yes he was on the rise and Wanksta was a hit, which came out before In Da Club. But In Da Club was probably one of the most successful rap songs of all time, as was GRODT, which was largely produced by Dre
-
I'm liking this one :D
-
i'm diggin' this. 8)
it's for a mixtape, relax homies. ;)
-
this is hot

Before I Self Destruct doesn't see the stores until 2010 if he is putting out another mixtape & still no single for an album.
but i enjoyed his last two mixtapes, so no real complaints here.

Yeah, it's not like the first single wouldn't be about making love to girls with Timberlake singing the hook anyways.
-
I wouldn't take the Dre line too seriously. It's all part of the concept of the track.
-
dope song, been a while.

I agree with most of what your saying but personnally think em had more to do with 50s success then dre, as i said earlier it was 50 that made in da club a hit more as appose to dre, there for i would t say dre "birthed" 50. But hey i respect your opinion even though i dont 100% agree.
Still im feeling the track and really like the video.

I was thinking that it doesn't sound right when he said his son hates him lol

anyone think in da club aint the main reason 50 is what he is today aint know shit and stick to listening d12world.
In da club is a modern day classic, i aint even big on 50, infact everything he put out since grodt has been on some iffy shit but in da club, MADE 50. That and wanksta. eminem got him the white fans, dre got him the backing and music, and 50 had the ways of working on it.
If eminem was the reason for the success of 50, obie would have been just as big if not bigger. It was all about in da club why 50 is what he is today. without it he would have been another star rapper but not a big time industry figure like he is.
this 'average' track ran everything for more than a minute. Noone cares if d12 rejected the beat, so did rakim. Thats how the industry works, alot of great movie scripts are rejected by one actor and someone else accepts it and a new star is born. same in the music industry, music is passed around until someone finds whats to do with it. Sometime it comes off, other times it doesnt. In da club was perfection for what it wanted to achieve at the time. As they say, the rest if history.
50 wouldnt have been shit without that track dre and him did.
