This is the only group I don't agree with Javii's rankings, Ivory Coast in front of Argentina.. ???
Didn't really agree with Australia in front of Croatia either, but haven't followed neither lately so I can't really tell, but other than that, I agree with Javii. 8)

ivory coast did play well and have shown us what they can do and that they have the potential to beat any of the teams in their tourney. Argentina just played better capitilizing on thier chances.

Props on the 1K. That was a very nice pass from Van Persie.

Gavrancic impressed me for Serbia, he seemed like a solid central defender.
Defensively, Serbia are a pretty sound side, with a good goalkeeper, I can't see them giving up many goals.
However, going forward they lacked someone to string the midfield to the attack.. Stankovic didn't show up, maybe he's there key, but he needs to be drafted into a more central position to make things happen.
Ljuboja was more of a threat, maybe he should earn a start for the next fixture.
Holland are an effective side playing the ball around on the deck, but I'm still yet to be convinced they can be a major force in this tournament, excellent performance from Arjen.. but I think if a side like Argentina can press and put Holland on the back-foot defensively, then I can see them breaking quite easily.. like when they met the Italians in March.
Overall, good game to watch.

decent game, Serbia lacked a killer instinct going forward but looked decent in midfield. The coach should have started Koroman and probably Zigic who did nothin when coming on but he;s big and should cause a lot more problems than he did. P. Djordjevic had a solid game and was MOM imo.
Robben was class, they couldnt handle him from the start. Defensively they got lucky on a couple of occassions, be interesting to see how this group turns out, all 4 sides have showed good quality. Ruud was very poor today but a good start for Holland regardless.

van basten wants to play with a central attacker, mr. ruud, but he puts robben on the left flank, u know robben is gonna cut to left side, they need to focus on the main attacker, van nistelrooy or kuyt....nuff said
and btw van persie waznt that good, but he almost got no balls passed to him....damn they need to give him his chance....
im happy holland got the 3 points, but they need to improve overall to handle ivory coast and argentina

If this is the best Holland can do, I don't think they or we are going make it to the 1/8 finals.

Yeah, Holland werent fantastic 2day, but they managed 2 get the 3 points. They need 2 step up theyre game a lot for the nxt 2 games. Nistelrooy, Sneijder and sum of the other players 2day were quite poor n can definately play better!

I hope not, cuz Van Persie CAN be extremely dangerous on the right. They just need to play like they did in that practise game against Kamaroen(first half).

Robben was good, but he could have done better. He was to selfish if you ask me. If he played better 'team' futbol it easily could have been 2-0. But I'm glad Holland won. 1 step closer to the next round 8).

Shit, what did you expect? Holland didn't do anything but defending in the 2nd half. Of course Van Basten put Landzaat in the field instead of Van Nistelrooij ::) From the moment Landzaat came in the field Holland did play a better 2nd half.
We better win from Argentina though. I don't want us to play Portugal in the next round :P

Both teams are guarenteed for the next round. Both Mexico and Portugal are strong teams, so they don't care if they are going to be 1st or second in the group. I think both teams won't play full and that the best players from both teams won't play. I guess it's going to be a 1-1 or 1-0 for Argentina. I think it will be a boring game, but offcourse I am going to watch it. ;D
