Interscope Records are planning to release a 10 Year Anniversary tribute to Snoop Doggy Dogg's 1993 Release "Doggystyle" just as Priority Records did with NWA's Straight Outta Compton in 1998.
The Interscope release will feature current Hip-Hop stars performing all the songs from the 1993 classic release "Doggystyle".
Artists already signed up to the project so far are 50 Cent, Cam'Ron, Fat Joe, Murphy Lee, Lloyd Banks, Ludacris, Keith Murray, Redman, Black Rob and Butch Cassidy.
The album will be released January 2004 through Interscope.
No word yet if Interscope will handle other upcoming Doggystyle releases, as MCA's situation is rather unclear.

U like the idea of Luda on who am i (whats my name)????
50Cent on Doggy Dogg world????
Cam´ron on gin and juice????
Fat Joe on.... wel dont care what song, just him on any album is something we dont need, lol................
-
It will sound cool IMO....I bet Luda would sound fresh over Whats My Name....Of coarse it's not the same, but I think it could be interesting to hear how these guys sound over classic Dre beats...
-
^^
Maybe, but i still think it would be a better idea if they had tryed the old beats with the now a days artist from the westcoast....
You know hearing how Sly Boogy, WC, E-White, Roscoe, Ice Cube and even Dre would sound on them classic beats, and see if thats the way to go or at least have some good songs....
Now its probably gonna go down, since i really cant see none of theze artist´s flow´s on them classic production´s....
But then again who knows, now....
-
Some people just dont get the idea...Its a tribute album with Popular artists of today
-
I think they coulda picked a better lineup of artists on here.
-
take what u can get , i think it'll be tite
-
i think they choose the artists by how much they can sell this album, how much influence this album had on taht artist or the scene their from, and pretty much how different but similar their style is
if you just slapped on xzibit, crooked I, sly boogie, and stuff on their people outside of the west wouldn't go cop it. they want to well round this album

But look at their lineup:
Keith Murray
Black Rob
Murphy Lee
Lloyd Banks
Fat Joe
Cam'ron
Butch Cassidy
^I don't see rappers like THESE selling this album. If they were really going for sales, the lineup would look more like this:
Ja Rule
Jay Z
Nas
Nelly
Outkast
