In a move to unload salary, the Phoenix Suns traded Kurt Thomas to the Seattle SuperSonics .
In exchange for taking on the remainder of Thomas' contract, the Sonics will also receive the Suns' 2008 and 2010 first-round draft picks.
The Suns receive a conditional second-round draft pick and a trade exception of about $8 million.
Before the trade, the Suns' payroll would have left the club more than $10 million over the new luxury tax threshold of $67.9 million.
Haaa

Who's their owner? Tell him he's a pathetic broke fuck.
-
That's an horrible move for the Suns. I mean Kurt was the only decent big man who could face Duncan, and they traded him. LOL.
-
LOL@Steve Kerr.
-
At this pace they gonna trade all their players for money :-X.. Steve Kerr is horrible

Yeah they never trade for players, it is always for money. They really going to be playing small ball now.
-
If I am Amare, I would be pissed off right now.

Yeah it must suck trying to win a championship while being on a tight budget. They've traded all their draft picks for money (Rudy Fernandez would've been great in that system) and now they're trading their core players (Thomas and Jones) for draft picks.
So now their rotation is down to Stoudemire, Nash, Marion, Bell, Diaw, Barbosa. I would say Hill but I see him being injured most of his stay in Phoenix.
Shiet at this rate, Steve Kerr might have to suit up :-X

Hey they can suit up Pat Burke and let him play. ;D
Nah but they have had a chance in the draft to develop and get some young talent to bring of the bench and actually HAVE a bench to use, but they keep trading away picks and players. The Diaw/Marion project at PF does not work anymore. Get a legit big that can run the floor and score to compliment Amare. I don't understand why they won't do that.
-
Rudy Fernandez would be a great addition and a good backup for Steve Nash. They even had a chance to draft a couple big men later in the draft.
-
lol@dissing steve kerr... he was obviously TOLD to handle the money-situation
-
Anyway as a player Mike D'Antoni >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Steve Kerr
-
kerr is so wack
-

Yup...And now he's just trading players for money. LOL.
-
I wouldn't blame this on Kerr, the Suns are notorious for selling their draft picks. This sits with the owner.
-
Getting rid of Kurt Thomas is fuckin wack in itself, but they also gave away 2 first round picks. what the fuck.
-
Its safe to say this deal doesn't make sense to anyone with half a brain. Kurt Thomas and 2 first round draft picks for a 2nd round draft pick

Holy shit, I didn't even notice that. :puke:

And obviously this is a move made by the owner.

How would you know how much input Kerr had on this?...Exactly.

We ask the same question when you spout off with your Lakers facts.

They were selling off first round picks before Kerr was ever there. This is a move to stay out of the luxury tax.
