Too $hort's "Dangerous Crew" with Ant Bank$.
Also a part of the Dangerous Crew were the Bad Influnze, consisting of Rappin Ron(RIP 8)) & Ant Diddly Dogg.
Everyone of those muthafuckas were raw as fuck. just a shame. :grumpy:

Shade Sheist
-
Knocturnal

I go with Shade Sheist and Knoc-Turn'al. Those two with production from Damizza just seemed to be a sound that would carry Cali back to the mainstream. I had all there shit, and I use to make mix tapes with them, and throw in some DPGC members that were not well known like Bad Azz, along with some DJ Quik that was not out yet, and a Jayo track or two and I had mix tapes that I would make in college and give to white kids here in Minnesota. They loved that shit, and I was like, damn these cats could blow up, 'cause people would want that shit in the spring when they started going out, and they made perfect summer music. That's what put Cali on was the classic summer tracks, and so I thought it would comeback, but they didn't get the right push.
:-\

^^ yeah i know, especially knocturnal, when i first heard that song "bad Intentions" I was like OOO Sheeeit this mutha fucka got flows, so i was hyping up his album coming out, i preordered it and everything, then some kind of sample album came out with like 6 songs or something like that and i was hella dissapointed, i couldn't understand what the fuck happened?

Knocturnal
I don't think Knocturnal would get much attention..(if you will). I don't know...everytime i see him perform...it ain't too much apealling.

hooks sell, and Dre himself said that Knoc was the best hook maker his ever worked with, and that's including 50 Cent and Nate Dogg.

Well, I have to admit I didn't consider these things.I forgot that he was in some games and didnt't know the fact that hewas the onethat made C-Walk popular. So I'm wrong. Thanks for clearing it up
-
But he (WC) never really blew up as far as I know
he had a couple of singles on MTV in the 90's, from Just Clowning to the Madd Circle days. It wasn't like he was Snoop Dogg or Ice Cube big, but he was one the mainstream.
-
I agree with Bad N Fluenz, they were the best bay group, its a shame Rappin Ron died, he would of released many classic albums.
-
Knoc-Turn'al
Sam Sneed
Shade Sheist
Crooked I
J. Valentine
Danny Boy
The Outlawz (I don't know if they really count though)

yeah but Operation Stackola was Platinum. and I bet almost anyone you ask will have heard I GOT 5 ON IT. So the Luniz have that if nothing else. And Yuk is still grinding. Almost selling 100,000 on mixtapes. His lyrics will never put him in the mainstream how much more could they Blow up?

thats right, and i think that Yukmouth is right where he wants to be at in his career, i don't see how much more he could ask for.
-
Sam Sneed - rarely rapped but was tight when he did; his production was quality too
The Game - If he doesn't sort his situation out and release a banger soon, he might qualify for this thread.
-
I know she is a femal rapper / singer but Mystic also had potential she was to suppose to release another album in 2004 but it was never released.
-
Mr. Short Khop.
He had everything and the backing to be the best. Whatever happened to him.
-
Good thing we arent saying this about Cassidy, cuz when he shot homie i thought he might be the tightest rapper never to make it, and still he has much potential! :o
-
knoc turn al
-
Shade Sheist
-
Other rappers with potential
Nytowl (Dude could rap what happened to him?)
Homicide (he was a good rapper and could produce)
-
hittman?
crooked i though.. man that dude is soooo over hyped now its not true...
-
Crooked may have had the most potential in the industry. He's got the total package. It's a shame.
-
hussein fatal
-
Sam Sneed
Knocturnal
Crooked I
Hittman -thought that he would have blew up after being on 2001
-
mc ren when he released kizz my black azz
above the law on thier first album
goldy - in the land of funk
DFC
spice 1 affiliates (g-nut and some other dudes)
-
goldie loc.ha had a tight ass flow and sounded good over westcoast beats.also i was listening to kausion and, damn they were nice on the mic also.whatever happened too them?
-
Ya'll remeber Smilez and Southstar? I thought they super duper marketable and would blow. Also Jin the Emcee. The music biz aint as predicable as we'd like it to be though
-
definetly MC Ren
Del The Funkee Homasapien definetly could've had a semi good mainstream career but he keeps his shit underground and his music is still great to me.
also Crooked I, Sly Boogy, Six-Two, Knoc Turnal, Shade Sheist
probably more too thats just what comes off the top of my head
-
Crooked I
Knocturnal
Sly Boogy
Shade Shiest
Hittman
Lets give these rappers a chance. Sure they've all had a great chance to blow, and didn't at the time, but whos to say they never will? look at twista. dude didn't blow up until a few years ago, and he's been in the game for a minute. I'll say that on that list the only rappers that 100% will NEVER blowup are Hittman (he won't get another maisntream chance) & Shade Shiest (not so sure he wants to blowup anymore, considering the independent route has treated him well). Crooked I should blow up next year (I am a firm believer that will see B.O.S.S. Music next year). Ya never no with Knocturnal. If Treacherous manages to drop this Crooked record next year, and it does well, we can very well see Knoc follow in his footsteps. Plus, Dre will probably have Knoc on Detox, which can possiblty start up his buzz agian, and just pretty much start from scratch. Sly Boogy probably won't blow up either tho.
-
Canibus
-
And how could I forget:
Above The Law
WC - he still has a chance with that new album coming
Sam Sneed
Uncle Sams Curse is still one of my all time favorite albums.
-
hittman and hussein fatal were both set to blow up too, shit just dont happen sometimes.
short khop also had potential, sorry to sound ignorant but what exactly is he doin now? i no he released an album in 2001 i think it was, but since then hes dropped off the face of the earth.
-
