guys this aint loud enough. i'm sure its a perfect source but the gain isn't correct - i loaded it up in wavelab and its about 50% what it should be before peaking :0
thats just the explicit version - the clean is a lot louder but still not quite there.

PROPS Eddie!

i hope this means reformation is comin
my only concern is i cant see interscope backin this single
-
the source is perfect just the gain is wrong. working on it 8)

the lyrics are real good if you listen to em. Beats crazy and that thing on the hook fits even more every time i listen tot the song

thanks a lot Eddie ;)
Ok, everyone was expecting to have their head ripped off their shoulders with something absolutely otherworldly and insanely dope, and this isn't that
BUT this is a tight single, it's got an interesting chorus, it's all very well done, drums are dope, laid back guitar melody, I'm feeling it! It's better quality than the mixtape stuff he's put out (and that was all high quality), and I think it's thrown a lot of people just because it's a chilled out song rather than a hyped up song (which will hopefully follow this one)
They may well be going for the summer jam type of thing, same way Nuthin But A G Thang was a chilled single rather than an out and out banger
Also you gotta remember, we're all west coast hiphop heads, the song has to appeal to every mutherfucka if Bishop is to sell, and I think this could do, especially if they push it - I can picture that guitar melody getting stuck in everyone's heads the way other Dre singles have
With Game, I remember thinking Westcoast Story was kind of a throwaway In Da Club ripoff beat, and when How We Do dropped I was like, man, this beat is wack, it's like a kiddy keyboard 3 note melody! But those songs grew on me and now everyone talks about them like they're undisputed masterpieces, which is easy to do once the album had gone on to sell a shitload
I don't know if this song will blow up, but if it does we may well look back and say how it was dope, even though everyone is kind of ??? and :'( right now because it turned out to just be a song after all. People and DJs will probably give this a lot of play just because it's a new Dre beat, and it should hopefully pick up from there. He may then have a follow up one that seals the deal - something with Dre rapping or another high profile guest
well i'm glad you reviewed the track, both here and through PM ( same goes for you Chad, thanks for that ;) ) so i knew what to expect when listening to it the first time :)
so it's indeed nothing mind blowing at all, but it's alright ;) i'm feeling the laid back vibe :)
anyway, what the fuck is up with the first part of the hook :-\
come on Dre & Bishop, you can better :P
by the way, i don't think this is the type of single Interscope wants for a 1st single at all :P
yup and i tried to elaborate because there's no reason not to 8) plus a lot of people would accuse me of just hating, whereas there's a lot of reasoning for why i'd say this is pretty average, nothing special etc. i will still support bishop to the fullest and bump this though - it has a nice westcoast vibe and i'm always feeling dre tracks. however, my criticisms stand.
i understand.
the beat structure is pretty much the same as Lost Ones & Imagine though.

I'll do the dishes now with this song on repeat and then give my opinion :banana_trippin:

downloading now and getting ready to throw on the iPod/phone 8)
-
finally propz
-
all dres drums sound the same now, just diff melodys that almost sounds the same too
-
dope song
-
Mixing is perfect on this track, everything hits, love the drums and the chilled vibe... growing on me a lot
I think it's also a really content driven song, now I've properly listened to all the verses it really hits home with what the track is trying to do, it's not about having an insane instrumental on this one, the beat is just some laid back shit to let Bishop vent over, which he does well
-
that up up up up up chorus is horrible!!!
-
This track Grows Up on me...it's good.
We are putting too much weight on these beats...and then we complain that hip hop is all about beats nowadays.
-
sounds a lot better in cdq - especially the bassline - and the track as a whole has grown on me a whole lot. hope bishop gets the full interscope machine behind the promotion though :0 but im still confident/hope the best is yet to come ;]
-
i like it, its gonna sound real crisp on my stereo.
-
this shit is super tight been on repeat an hour now.
lyrics are real dope and the beat is mixed so perfectly.
finally a Dre produced Bishop song!
-
The beat is very dope, but Dre should have saved it for another rapper, i.e. Six2 or Snoop. Bishop Lamont needs to go back into the studio with J. Wells cause he actually sounded motivated when they still worked together.
I think Bishop Lamont and Eminem are the only two artists ever that have sounded unmotivated over a Dre beat.

wish i could use the dishwasher... moms says that's being lazy.... so we handwash over here... native parents... such a pain.... old school... well... just sent the clean version to the a station down here... couple more stations but they haven't answered back yet....
-
I see what that other dude was saying when I loaded it up in Adobe Audition, the volume is only at 50% for some reason... Gotta put it up twice as loud on my speakers to hear it normal. I'll have to up the volume...
-
Perfect summer time song. Windows down, System up
-
The beat is tight, the content/lyrics is tight... the only problem I got is the chorus...
-
The track is bangin! thanks for hook it up for us Eddie! 8)

Any1 mind uploading the version with the volume boosted?

OK my bad

Thanks Dubcnn. Sounds even better in CDQ, I like how the beat rides in the beginning. I was hoping for the instrumental too though :-\
And if you want a better quality of the explicit, I won't say any names but Matty can help you :)
-
I'm glad I waited until today to hear the CDQ version. I'm really feelin' this one. Beat is off the chain, lyrics are dope as hell. Can't get no better than that. People in the other thread were making it sound as if it was mediocre and I beg to differ. 8)
-
beat is hot, can definately tell it has the summer vibe that was initially mentioned....its a cool song but the chorus sucks
-
This actually reminds me quite a bit of Dilated People's single 'Worst Comes To Worst', after I've finished listening to this, that beat comes into my head
-
Some of the synth parts sound like they were sampled from Kool & the Gang's Summer Madness. Just my observation. 8)
-
My two cents:
The commercial game needs this. If a new golden era of hip-hop will ever come it will arrive in the diversity among radio playlists. They'll bump this shit next to a soulja boy song. Both are hip-hop and are perspectives that should be expressed.
Like another person mentioned, this is the vibe Jay was going for on Kingdom Come and he didn't quite succeed. But, it was a start and though unfortunately not well received, I was disappointed when he dropped back from that stance. I'm excited for Bishop's full length and Detox.
Lyrics: A
Beat: B (serves the songs vibe)
Vocals: A (serves the vibe)

Good shit with a good message!
-
I like this song. Don't see it getting alot of play on the radio though. The beat is slightly repetitive.
-
lyrics are good, beat is good...
...ii dont see whats so special about bishop as a rapper. sure he can write, but hes so generic with his flow/voice/style
-
I havent read the other posts so sorry if this has been said (im at work, gotta be quick).
The beat is a sampled from I need a girl Pt2. Would have liked Dre to be more original than this!

pretty let down. All i hear when i hear Grow Up is stupid ass Diddy!

Yeah a little bit. And if Diddy did the beat it for damn sure ain't original.
As for the track it's cool. Laid back as many others have said. Nice summer single.

the chrous is also sampled from Summer Madness Kool and the gang

Nothing insane but solid on first listen. It'll proly grow on me.
-
Shits dope yo, gets better everytime you listen. You can't compare this to In Da Club or How We Do, its a street single, same as Wanksta or Westside Story. Dre's beats chilled as fuck and crisp as, shits dope, Bishops flow suits it perfectly, can't expect him to get hyped on a chilled beat shit would just sound wack. Too me this is a perfect introduction to the direction Dre's going towards for Detox, on that grown man shit, changing the game and not following the trends. Shit's sick, gonna burn it and bang it in now!
-
Very dope! dope beat! dope lyrics! concious rap at its best it's fuckin fresh from rims this bitches dat bling dis Car Dat.
Fuck the haters 8)
-
Yes the mixing/engineering/mastering is crisp as expected by Dre and his expensive state of the art equipment.
It's an alright mellow summer tune but come on Dre step ya game up, you can get more invented then this.
As for Bishop yes it's nice to hear some positive vibes but drop a few punchlines nigga, some memorable lines, quotables or tell a dope story.
-
one of the best rap songs ive heard in a hot ass minute....ive never really felt bishop before this track...hopefully the reformation contains more gems like this
-
SONG IS HOT!!!!
-
Perfect summer time song. Windows down, System up
well said... 8)
-
shit is dope.
hella smooth.
-
Yea im pretty impressed overall, it feels like this was the vibe they wanted, it doesnt feel forced...be interesting to see how this done and if it is a true indication of new dre material leading up to detox...
-
wait, hold on.! now wasnt dre supposed to be actually featuring(rappin) on the single
-
wait, hold on.! now wasnt dre supposed to be actually featuring(rappin) on the single
I Dominate is gonna be 3rd or 4rd single...maybe.

best song of 2008 so far
-
wait, hold on.! now wasnt dre supposed to be actually featuring(rappin) on the single
I Dominate is gonna be 3rd or 4rd single...maybe.
hey at least we can all agree that this is a step closer to the reformation release which means a step closer to detox release
-
really nice west coast summer vibe.dope shit
I've really lowered my expectations in the past 2 years when it comes to Dre produced stuff so I'm actually quite fond of this joint as a whole.Nothing wrong with Bishop too
-

My opinion has changewd ;D The lyrics make up for the lazy flow. I actually like it a lot now. Apart from the chorus it's a great song :)
I have that a lot with TQ/Bone/2Pac songs too that I appreciate them more after I listened to them more often.
-
yeeeeaaaaaahhh!!PROPS!! 8)
-
one of the best rap songs ive heard in a hot ass minute....ive never really felt bishop before this track...hopefully the reformation contains more gems like this
yeah same here.
-
I really like the track too, didn't expect this at all, solid on first listen but still it has grown on me, the beat gets better by each listen.
-
there's been a new topic started so ill repost my reply so that others can also read it...
I will be honest...im sure DETOX will disappoint 90% of you anyway because you have too high expectations..and don't get me wrong, it's your right, after all Dre and his crew hyped it so much themselves...and 85% of those will start to like a Dre produced record after paying a bit more attention when hearing it!
It's true, it's very simplistic, but it's one of those songs you can't get tired to listen to...and there's a lot of hidden content...the sound of the piano is just fantastic...there's even violin like sound in it. This in combination with the message of the song makes it a very very good summer song.
But still I agree on what many of you guys said...a record like "It Hurts'' would have been ''bigger'' to many of us, but we HAVE to take in consideration that his album has to have a mainstream appeal in order to sell.
Anyways Im just glad to hear The Reformation is not becoming an urban legend (unlike DETOX...ouhhh im pessimistic isn't it? lol!)
-
Yea im pretty impressed overall, it feels like this was the vibe they wanted, it doesnt feel forced...be interesting to see how this done and if it is a true indication of new dre material leading up to detox...
yeah, it's a signature bishop single, i didn't expect that ;)
anyway, his flow is good enough on this, to me.
especially when comparing it to that "street" single Feel on it.
-
PROPS Eddie!
-
This is definitely a grower, I fucking love this shit now, the more I listen to it the better it gets... same thing happened for me with In Da Club, How We Do, and Still DRE
And the subject matter is some ballsy shit, he's calling out all sorts of shit rappers are doing at the moment, which is dope
I'm really feeling the chorus as well, nice idea
-
props 8) 8)
-
This is a fresh breeze compared to all the bullshit they play on radio these days.. I love this shiet!
-
Love it, Bishop is the truth 8)
-
i dont like this song at all......good concept, corny hook, decent lyrics, dope beat
-
I liked it yesterday and I like it better today.
-
nice song but 8)
up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up up
drives me nuts, what the fuck is he / are they thinking 8)
-
Okay, this is my final verdict for this track after giving it another listen this morning.
Totally uninspired hook, it's like they ran out of time and just let me freestyle something over the part where the hook is supposed to be. The production with that "Summer Madness" sound is sloppy too, sounds almost like a last minute addition. The verses are straight, but since the beat is so monotonous you just feel like pressing the "skip" button halfway through the track.
All in all, average track, probably something to throw somewhere in the middle of the album, but not a good choice for the first single at all.
-
Not as good as I anticipated.
-
damn. i cant stop lisiting 8)
-
I've been listening to this track non stop for 2 days now lol. My girl is tryin to kill me ...... i just keep tellin her she looks like Kieth Sweat, Bitch! haha
-
It's a decent effort, but it sounds recycled in a way. I appreciate the subject matter and the concept, but realistically Dre needs to hit Bishop with a club banger or something harder if they're trying to get a buzz.
-
I think they're gonna drop a more commercial single in August/September then the album drops in October/November. If you look at Aftermaths prior releases, that's how they usually do it.
-
very nice track...too many people overanalyzing this....just enjoy the vibe. I'm sure we'll get some outta of this world stuff here in the near future with the bishop album, em's album, and dre's album. I think this is just the beginning. 8)
-
once again my concern is that this wont get the album on the shelves - only pushed back, re-worked on and changed
sometimes i just wish bishop/crooked i/etc would come with a WACK ass lil wayne-lollipop type single (as the only wack track) and the rest of the album bein the shit we expect from them - at least that'd get it on da shelves lol
-

well the feel on it/oh my god type of single will probably come eventually
-
I have to say I like the track. A couple of things though.
I don't understand what Bishop and Dre are trying to achieve here. This doesn't really introduce Bishop well to a radio audience. The theme of the track is totally inward looking about the state of hip-hop - he is addressing other rappers. It's a good album cut but I would have liked to hear a more universal theme. Hip-hop turning in on itself like this on a dude's first real single is to me not a good thing but all part of its demise...
Musically the track is ok. It's catchy but it's not a particularly great cross-over track. To be honest, I'm not a Kanye fan but comparing it to something like "When it all falls down" (which was the first Kanye track I heard), that was a hella of a track; a great pop song and decent enough hip-hop. Maybe it's personal taste but when that came out, it really was fresh as f*ck. This track sounds good but we've heard it before maybe not on a single but on countless albums.
Nice though the song is, its not interesting enough to have much replay value. If you want to blast peops away or even just get their attention, you have to come with something which is fresh in terms of concept, sound, everything. I really don't think this track is it.
-
This track is very average. Bishop just doesnt have interesting factor. Boring!
-
nice shit, i hope this is the direction for the album!
-
I just gave this song its first spin. Sounds hot...nice laid back production, those claps remind of Busta's "Get You Some". In that sense though, it does sound a bit recycled. But then again, pretty much all producers recycle their drums (Khalil, Battlecat, Quik, ...), so I don't really care. Sounds dope!
If it were up to me, I would've changed the chorus though. That "up - up - uuuup" thing might be catchy, along with the Kool & the Gang sample, but I would've let a singer do the chorus. There's plenty of up-and-coming R&B talent on the West. Toussaint, Mike Ant, BJ The Kid (or what's his name again?), Chevy Jones, etc...
By the way: that guitar lick reminds me a lot of P Diddy's "I Need A Girl Part 2" (w/ Mario Winans, Ginuwine & Loon). Anyone else hear it?

when it comes to this track as the first single choice, i agree with you.
then again, great crossover singles are scarce.
-
cool track, but i cant see this working as 1st single...
and im disappointed in dres production, its ok, but i dont want detox to sound like this - i was expecting something mind-blowing.... and the 1st single of the reformation should go along with that...
-
heters shit on this now they wont some timbo tehno shit :P
-
preety average track although I wish Bishop nothing but a success with his album since Cali need him but this beat is nothing special and it really shows how Dre fell the fuck off with his shit...
-
Normally I'd be on the side of the people who are saying it's not a good first single choice... but I have made that same mistake so many times with so many Dre songs, as I said before...
In Da Club - sounded kind of boring and plodding, just those same three keyboard notes over and over, didn't even sound like a club track because it wasn't all hyped up and faster, and there didn't seem to be a chorus because the chorus just sounds like a verse.... I said no one outside of Dre-heads will be feeling this shit... boy was I wrong
Westside Story/How We Do - the first one sounded like a ripoff of In Da Club, but more cliched gangsta-rap style, and the second sounded like a 5-second-to-make beat because it was just 808 drums and a very, very, very simple 3 note melody... AND Game's verses sounded rushed and kind of off time... I thought this won't appeal to many people... but again, I was wrong
Still DRE - I had been waiting for around 7 years for a new Dre single... what I got was a 2 note piano thing repeatedly going 'ding ding ding ding' the entire way through the track, how annoying is that I thought... and the chorus didn't seem very memorable... again I was wrong
My Name Is - this leaked way before the album dropped and everyone was hyped because this was Dre's new guy... I wasn't impressed... he had a whiny high voice and the beat wasn't mindblowing, it was just a simple loop... and the chorus was some super simple shit... again, I was wrong!!
So this new Bishop track may not blow up... but if it doesn't, it won't be because of any of the reasons anyone has said here, because really, it's no different to a lot of the first tracks of some of the most successful Dre shit if you break it down. I could say the track is a simple guitar loop, and the chorus isn't that catchy, etc etc, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna be wrong about another Dre track! Lol, so I think if this gets everywhere like those other tracks did, it'll probably blow up
-
track is damn near perfect apart from the hook, man i hope it grows on me
-

in the end, it's up to interscope to decide.
i really doubt they have accepted this as a first single, otherwise it would have been confirmed on their website right?
-
apparently there's gonna be a video filmed for this in a couple of weeks with bishop and dre - dunno if there's any truth to that though...

heard this where?

was talking to someone who said bishop said that in some new interview, so no idea really. still, you never know...
-
AllHipHop.com: Do you have a single for The Reformation album dropping soon?
Bishop Lamont: I would look for it in July.
AllHipHop.com: Is the one for the video that you shot in the Bahamas? The song called “I Dominate” with Dr. Dre?
Bishop Lamont: No. We didn’t shoot that video. We went out there but changed our minds at the last minute. Thank God we did that because this one is even a greater record than “I Dominate.” That song was an ill record but it’s like a 3rd or 4th single type of song. It was kind of like a “Big Pimpin” poppy-type record with me and Dre. We’re both buff so we wanted to get on some yachts. This new single though is a record called “Growed Up”, produced by Dr. Dre, that is so f**kin’ ridiculous. That’s the first single. You’ll hear him rap on something later also.
so who knows :P

Mmmm, so Bishop thinks 'Grow Up' is even greater than 'I Dominate'? So 'I Dominate' may not be that amazing then... though who knows

damn from a skip thru I bet it hurts sounds better
good lookin out tho
bishop is dope

GREAT MUSIC BESHIP MONT!! I SMOKE!! 8)

Hey Bishop, I Can't Wait To See The Rest of The Reformation & Above All Detox!, Hip Hop Is In For A Dre-revolution.
if you aint diggin dis you need to grow up way up way up way up up up up up up up up up up!
-
AllHipHop.com: Do you have a single for The Reformation album dropping soon?
So 'I Dominate' may not be that amazing then... though who knows
well it's just his opinion :P
besides, he gave a description of I Dominate, which doesn't sound good to me.... :-X
-
Been away..Glad to be back on to hear some new Bishop Music!
Overall laidback track!
Dre did his thing once again!
-
Thanks, finally the cdq version!
-
This shit is dope! This got me thinking... What was that morning show freestyle Bishop did recently? The one where the hosts were breaking his balls for never freestyling? I used the search function, but couldn't find it...
-
I have to admit that the song really grown on me. Still think the beat is a bit too simple, but on the other side the production is so damn catchy and Dre shows again that he know how to mix a track. Bishop´s flow fits the vibe of the song really good, I also totally love the concept and the lyrics of the song. But I still don´t really see this as a single, more than a third or a fourth
-
It seems like fans have really lowered their level of expectations a LOT ... how could anyone be sastified with the quality of this song ? Isn't "the Reformation -Detox" era supposed to be the third big and last chapter of Dre solo carreer ? This beat is average at best , another loop and the same old clap drums we've heard since "Get you some" dropped ... Bishop and Dre have spent so many hours in the studio , bullshitting their fans with their "it's gonna be magic" excuses to justify the years of delay of their albums and then dropped this ... :-X
At least , I have the confirmation Dre fell off hard and the "he saves the best beats for Bishop and him" argument wasn't valid
-
shits cool. quit expecting jesus' second coming over some dre drums and maybe you might like this shit

Bishop is fucking dope!! Hes a mad coool guy too!!!!
I hit Bishop Lamont up on myspace and told him thats hes soo dope hes crack and that all these otherr rapers need to step there game up
I look on my page today bishop lamont wrote me a comment saying "Give Darrick pussy and money in that order" with the aftermath logo under. Most rapers wouldnt take time out of there day to do shit like that. Back to the topic "Grow Up" is fucking dope! Cant wait for Reformation!
-
Ehh... I smoked to this song last night and you know what, it's not as bad as I made it out to be in my original reviews.
You know what it really is that made me hate in the first place. Very rarely have I heard Bishop Lamont drop something I was feeling and as of lately Dre just stopped impressing me. However, you know, you can't hate on dude for dropping a positive message in this crazy ass game of Hip Hop right now. I give him props for doing something different.
-
been bangin' this in the ride/on the iPod/on the phone ever since it dropped... great summer track 8)
-
this track is tight as fuck//////////
-
sick summer record!
-
Anyone heard it on Power106 or Kday? I hope they start playing this shit on the radio so i have a reason to tune in!
-
This is my first time commenting on the track, I've been listening to it all week and it's really dope. The beat is chilled, laid back, Bishop comes with good lyrics, and the hook has grown on me, it's catchy.
Good shit!
-
Good to see MTV mentioned the track on their Mixtape Monday thing -
'Hood's Heavy Rotation: Bubbling Below The Radar
» Bishop Lamont - "Grow Up"
» Tank (featuring Shawty Lo) - "Poppin' "
» Lloyd (featuring Nelly) - "Lose Control"
» Busta Rhymes - "Missile"
» Nas - "You Can't Stop Us Now," "Testify" and "Breathe"
I haven't really seen it around the net much though... like I don't recall seeing it at allhiphop, etc
-
dope song! heard it on the radio today.

Same here. I didn't dislike the song at first, but I wasn't blown away either. This is one of the best songs of the year so far IMO.
-
You know what people, this is exactly the dre beat I waited for. After listening to this song all week, it changed my mind. PUMP it in a proper system and you know what I mean. This is just brilliant, so now we have to support Bishop even more and look that this shit will blow up. He deserves it. 8) 8)
Grow Up is the best beat by Dre since Imagine

nah i don't think so ;)

Which one do you think is better?

Which one do you think is better?
well if The Greatest Trick counts as a co-production by Dre, then i'll go with that one.
if not, then my choice would be U Ain't Goin Nowhere
-
This track just gets better and better for me, I hope it starts to blow up when they start getting it out there more

Imagine was originally a Busta track,so I assume Murder Dem Murders was made after it.
Anyway,Murder Dem Murders is the best Dre beat since Hello,The Future and Shit Hits The Fan.
Imagine is dope too,but the ones I just mentioned is "better."
in that case i would go for Murder Dem Murderers ;)
but i don't like it as much as you do ;)
Don't get carried away is still my favourite Dre production from the last few years 8)
i didn't know you liked The Future & Shit hits the fan that much by the way ;)
i thought The Future was a little boring; Shit hits the fan is alright but i can name a lot of Dre productions that i think are better ;)
-
'outta control rmx' and 'imagine' are the best dre beats since 2001. 'the set-up' and 'oh' are pretty sick too.
-

i see ;)
i think outta control rmx is alright, but not that good ;)
as far as Imagine is concerned, to me the production kind of tricks my mind; it feels like a great intro to something huge, yet that part doesn't exist :P so it's nothing more than an illusion :-\
i like the production though, but it's missing something.
anyway i pretty much agree with your other 2 options ;)
i thought Break ya neck was a very good one too 8)
-

funny subliminal messages in the song by the way :D

i'm not sure anymore now
i like it more than U ain't goin' nowhere, not sure about Murder Dem Murderers though :P
it's hard to compare.
by the way, is it just me or does this single get overlooked ( as suspected) ???
-
by the way, is it just me or does this single get overlooked ( as suspected) ???
It will do until they really start the promotion... I remember Eminem's 'My Name Is' came out waaaay before the video and shit dropped and people were like, I guess no one's feeling this, then bam, it became a hit single
And with Game's West Side Story, that never blew up properly, it was just a leaked single and got a bit of a buzz before How We Do dropped
-

yeah but that's up to interscope right?
i mean, it's seems like all the aftermath staff does is spamming with bulletin messages on myspace.com, in an attempt to get more radio play :P
-

True, hopefully they'll get a video for it soon, or do a video to another song and release that if this one is only meant to be a sort of warm up street single
-

the aftermath camp could drop it on youtube but (http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/huepfen/jumping-smiley-012.gif)
they need a single with a video that's backed by interscope
-
this song isn't going to do shit on the radio and the only result is the probablity of Bishop being dropped is more and more important ...
-
y'all think this will blow?? Im still on the fence, i think its solid album material but nothing single worthy for me. The melody of the actual beat aint catchy enough imo for it to stick in my head and i dont think its going to sell alot through this. I'm sure we'll see another single. I'm with wcsolider/matty/lindon on this but y'all who believe its gon be big too, i wouldnt be suprised if y'all get it right. Never count a dre track out i guess...
Hopefully we'll see an album soon though.....

A video would give the song a lot more visibility, you usually need a video to properly break a song... and yeah, Interscope need to get some adverts and shit and have him do loads of publicity... though he just did that stuff in NY, so maybe he's begun doing that
Wikipedia reckons "The music video will be premiering in July" (I know, I know, no source)

^ I was gonna make a thread about that, I seen it on MySpace too ;)

i wasn't sure where to put it ;)
-
I think they'll need to remix this song or something for it to blow or put a guest feature on here. Now is the time for Dre to step up and publicly back him
-
Wouldn't mind it to be honest :D
But, i mean having em or snoop on this track or another wouldn't hurt his popularity. just to get his name out there
edit
i mean, he doesnt have any big names behind him other than dre. and dre doesnt really mention him much when he does talk

Dre sounds lazy as fuck. With Eminem he was all over those songs/beats/interviews, what happened?
I am beginning to doubt that he don't even feature in more than one song and produces somewhat the same.
How is Bishop gonna get publicity if not with interviews together with Dre or features, Dre song first time for years wouldn't hurt or would it? Just make some track for some movie so it won't hurt his precious Detox.
-
is there going to be a video for this ?

Can someone up the cdq version?

Someone upload that boosted up version, that dubcnn-one sounds weak.
-
Dirty has really low sound quality, which might prove that Bishop leaked it himself. Who knows...
Here's the Matty version (improved quality): http://www.zshare.net/audio/19037236ff1bd17e/

just heard the track for the first time, i'm really feelin it!!

@: Get Your Walk On: Really ? I think it's such a dope song
-
yeah these type of songs dont fit him well IMO jus like the few new ones that hes released
he fits more of the missile testin type of sound
fuck yeah (without the accent)
pope mobile
i jus cant get into this when i know its him and i try and listen but its not the bidness
and its crazy cuz dre produced it but its really nuthin special

I agree with you that the beat ain't nothing special but overall I like the song. It's too bad Dre didn't have a verse on this track though..
When it comes to Bishop it's either hit or miss for me
-
Bishop is pretty versatile but tracks like this prove he's a dope mc.
-
hes always been dope but damn this song isnt doin it
but his mixtapes are better than many rappers albums and he prolly spent much less

it ain't a miracle, but i think it's very good.

yeah i think the only reason its very good is cuz bishop is tryna save it and make it a good song but that shows bishop can be dope but he needs to chose bangers like he has before
