NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - David Darnell Brown, a rapper known as Young Buck who records on 50 Cent's G-Unit Record label, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous driving violation, police said.
The 25-year-old was stopped Friday after an officer said he observed Brown weaving in his black Cadillac Escalade near downtown Nashville.
Brown was cited last July on a misdemeanor violation for driving on a suspended license. He now has a valid license, but his record showed the outstanding warrant for last year's charge. He was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 27.
Efforts to reach Brown's representatives Friday night were unsuccessful. A message left with his booking agent was not immediately returned.
The rapper was in his hometown on Thursday for an event by fashion designer Gino Green and to promote his new album ``Buck The World,'' WKRN-TV reported.
In December 2005, Brown pleaded no contest to a felony in the stabbing of a man during a melee at the 2004 Vibe Awards show. He was sentenced to three years' probation.

as i've been out the scene, I want to make sure I didn't get the old story twisted, please, anyone, correct this story for me, cause this is what I know of it : Dr.Dre and YB seated next to each other at the source awards. some shit broke out, a dude punched dr.dre in the back of the head and YB immediately stabbed said dude in the stomach in dr.dre's defense.
dre better lace dude, that haters beat with Kokane is a good start.

First of all Dre did not produced "Haters" with Kokane, Vitamin D produced that, this was another case of people assuming it's Dre... and u should just go to youtube.com or something and type in "Dr. Dre Vibe Awards" or some shit and watch it... Dre was going on stage to accept his lifetime achievement award, and some dude came up and punched him and then eveybody jumped on him, the whole g-unit etc started beatin the dude down real bad, and in the whole scuffle buck stabbed dude with a butter knife..

well, he should goto prison. he stabbed someone. and now he got arrested agian, while on probation.
