Title: Hell On Earth vs. ATLiens
Post by: Twentytwofifty on June 29, 2003, 01:14:14 PM
Here we have what most people would call each group's second classic album.  Both groups are duos, one was the best duo from the east at the time and the other the best duo from the south at the time.  Both albums were released around the same time, in the second half of 1996.  Both albums are fluid musically and both have no outside producers (Mobb Deep produced their whole album and Outkast and Organized Noize shared the production on ATLiens).

Which is the better album?

The two are completely different albums. They have no shared ideas.

Hell On Earth was a dark, grimy and angry album. ATLiens was a concept album looking beyond what we see in our everyday today.

I probably should of put "which album do you prefer" I guess.  I just put them together cause the best duo in the east and best in the south at the time put out these two sick albums at the same time and they are very close in terms of dopeness, I find it extremely difficult to pick which one is better.

I decided to go with Hell On Earth, the production is on this is even better than on The Infamous IMO and the sound quality on this album is one of the best I've ever heard.
