Title: Weapons Of Mass Destruction Was Banging
Post by: SGV on April 18, 2005, 02:38:06 PM
L.A. Hip Hop at it's finest. Hot features, nothing unnecessary, just fam. Steady and Busta Rhymes. Gotta shout Khalil for knockin' out those bangers. X's best album since 40 Dayz... Glad to see he took the creative control, as opposed to Dre. So what he didn't sell as much, he's back to making GOOD MUSIC! Thats the main thing!

"Beware Of Us" NEEDS to be a single. Everyone rips it, the beat is banging and the hook is real clean. Would be a dope way to introduce the Steady Gang, too.

I been tellin people man! There so many tight joints on it, "Clack", "Back 2 the Way it Was", "Judgement Day", and "Criminal Set" which is one of the best songs in the last few years

This album finally seperated the TRUE fans from the bandwagoners. The moment Dre left the picture, the hate began. Crappy sales + Quality music = Weapons Of Mass Destruction. Good sales + Crappy music = Restless/Man Vs. Machine.

Dope album but it wasn't as good as Restless but it did shit all over Man Vs. Machine.

He could have used more radio play other than Cali. Still don't hear westcoast radio play here in the south other than the obvious (Snoop Dogg & Game). It definitely seperates the bandwagon fans from the real.

Yeah it was a tight ass album, But "Grown Man Business" woulda been fuckin awsome on it aswell.

yall makin a big deal of this dre thing
dre and xzibit decided to separate on good terms cause columbia and sony were using his affliation with dre to promote his album
basically not spending enuff money promoting it
thats why man vs machine only went gold
thats why grown man business (prod by dre) wasnt on the album
i can see xzibit workin with em and dre again once he off columbia/sony watever they r

fuckin right this album is tight....i dunno why ppl said in the forum that they didnt like it or x needed dre and em or snoop cuz this album is proof that he doesnt need them ...this album is better than man vs machine and i believe not better than restless but maybe the same

The album is ok,its got some bangers like LAX,Saturday Night Live & Criminal Set.But as a whole,I dont think the songs sound good together on 1 CD.They kind of dont fit.For me,this CD is the westcoast version of MVM.

I think its hot also.  There's maybe 1-2 tracks i didn't like.  But overall, better than his last effort and this album seemed like he got his lyrical fight back in him.

It had some bangers. It's a weird album for me. The songs I hate, I absolutely can't stand. The songs that I love (Klack, Judgement Day, Scent of a Woman, Criminal Set, Back 2 The Way It Was), I think is some of Xzibit's best work.

It's a great album considering my favorite songs.

Hey wait rats!
How did this separate the "True fans" from the bandwagoners.. ?

Quote
The moment Dre left the picture, the hate began.

More people hated on MvM than WoMD... and Dre produced "Grown man business" which was supposed to be on WoMD, so he didn't leave the picture.
The moment Snoop dissed X, the hate began, imo.

WOMD is heat. Cold World, Criminal Set, Saturday Night Live are pure bangers. It's nice, a step in the right direction for Xzibit. I honestly think a lot of people stayed away from the album because of "Hey Now", which is the worst song Xzibit has recorded in his career. That choice of single really hurt him IMO.

It is interesting why Dre wasn't part of this cd. X was great with Eminem and Snoop on Bitch Please 2. I saw X's new video on MTV when this album first came out. It was weak as hell. I can see why this album floppped.

More people hated on MvM than WoMD... and Dre produced "Grown man business" which was supposed to be on WoMD, so he didn't leave the picture.

The bold is the key. It wasn't on the album, so um... uh... Dre left the picture. The album was Dre free. No Dre in site. Then the hate began.

Hate to say it but, WOMD is Xzibit's worst album together with 40 Dayz.. Sorry guys, too bad X never got signed to the Math or Shady-camp, Xzibit fell off with this album. He got the best exposure possible with the Pimp My Ride-show, plus he hosted the WMA just weeks before the release of the album, still the shit flopped as fuck. No wonder. 2-3 quality songs rest crap. Not even the commercial first single was any fire at all for the mass. Bad choice of producers, or there were too many producers for one album

lol, what the!@ yer karma.

'Beware Of Us'.....omfg, that shit is hard! Alot of nice trax on that album, didn't get many props as I thought it'd get. Prolly one of the better, if not best album to come outta the left coast this year, or was it last year it came out.

It was the best westcoast album to come out last year.

solid album... but it's definetly NOT better than restless or man vs. machine... and dre didnt even do that many cuts on mvm he produced 2 and mixed a few...

mvm came so much harder, and x spat some real shit... the first single mean muggin put me off WOMD... mvm is a way more solid album, less repetitive and less skipable tracks.

Dope album, but not better then Restless, there's no way...

"WOMD" had alot of tight tracks like "Ride Or Die", "Criminal Set", "Back 2 The Way It Was", but one of the biggest dissapoinments was that "Grown Man Business" was not included there....
