Hey 40oz - props on your avatar!
Haven't bumped that album in a long time. That group was tight - the track they did over the Deep Cover beat was nice. They ever do anything else? I know Deuce Deuce wrote most of the lyrics on Hammer's Funky Headhunted album, but I never saw a second album.
Scoundree-eels get lonely toooooo.

Yeah I regulairy bump Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (D.R.S.). D.R.S. released another album in 1996 under another name "Jackers" which is released Immortal Records.
Here's the info:

This songs dedicated to my homies in that Gangsta Lean....Why you have to go so soon....It seems like yesterday....
Best tribute song ever!
I had their album but that was the only song I liked.
The video looked straight studio gangsta though.

Remember - these guys came up under Hammer... ;)

LMAO I miss your pussy.
Yeah I think this was one of the best tributes ever, up there with "So hard to say goodbye to yesterday" and it is one of the best hood R&B tracks.
Were they from L.A? I heard somebody say they were from ATL or somethin but I never knew.

A classic track. That whole album was nice. Hardcore R&B was, and still is, a good concept.
-
they were gangsta and r & b thugs before anyone...gangsta lean was tight as fuck...

DRS is from various parts of California. Shade Sheist is very good friends with C.J., the lead writer/producer from the group. They were very much so the first "gangster" rnb group. Literally.

Seems like I have to check their shit. I've heard about them before, but I've never really payed attention to them.
